To all who come across this, please take this advice! I'll be starting my second year of college later this month, but I can't express how much I regret not following these study tips in high school! I was so all over the place for the majority of it and I truly regret it. I had no self control and would procrastinate like a MOFO! It wasn't until my first year in community college that I decided to get better at studying and managing my time. Even so, there were still times that I'd fall off the tracks, and it's gonna happen to all of you bc that's just how it goes. The real fight is making yourself get up and do the things you need to do! I have faith in all of you, and best wishes with the new academic school year!!!!!

I legit almost started crying when I saw the "for people that do sports/band" side note because as a marching band kid at my school all of our teachers don't recognize the amount of time that we spend outside of class on our sport. And it's just so nice to see that recognition. And know that people understand that we don't always have as much time to study and focus on other activities outside of band.

i wish i had this 2 years ago. i'm about to be a junior in highschool and freshman and sophomore year were absolute hell, barely scraping by in grades. my organization was a single folder for everything, i lost things constantly, and my mental state suffered, which led me farther down into the downward spiral. i'm gonna try my hardest this year to apply what i've learned from your videos so far into my junior and senior year and hopefully i can turn my school life around and actually go to a college i want to. wish me luck!

Something else I find helpful; Keep organized with your schoolwork and make sure you have a place for everything, also, make your stuff aesthetically pleasing to you! Also, improve your atmosphere; with a stress-free, clean room that you enjoy, it'll help your concentration and help your mentality. If you have supplies you love and an atmosphere that you feel comfortable in, it'll make it a lot more bearable !

@chayacosby35777 жыл бұрын
My neurologist told me one way to sleep a bit better is not to use your phone,tv, etc,. before bed. I really like reading on wattpad so I'm not gonna lie, I'm not really following this rule. However, I do suggest that you turn down the brightness really low so that your brain thinks it's still okay to sleep. Listening to music *might* help too.Make sure you create a playlist that of songs that calm you down.

I've been an high level athlete for 7 years plus and now a collegiate athlete, it's all about time management. Yes sadly you'll be up way late doing homework if you really want to have good grades and do well in school. Use all your time wisely; you'll still have a social life but it'll be harder than others. Making everything work in a balance is something even I'm still working on but you'll get there:)

Asking yourself "why" honestly really works! I procrastinate a TON, but then I stopped to think about *why* I don't feel like doing my work, and because of that, I realized that homework doesn't have to be boring! If you have the same issues as me, I highly recommend thinking about a valid reason *why* you don't feel like doing your work, and then use that to come up with a way to have fun (or at least make it less boring) while also being productive. **Another tip is to write things down instead of using your computer. You can organize your thoughts better and it helps you remember things.

lol i wish my school and your school had the same schedule. we have to wake up at 5, take a bath, eat breakfast, make up, go to school at 7 am, start of our first subject is 7:20. recess 9:40-10:00. lunch 12-1:00. dismissal 4 pm and sometimes even 4:40. library closes. and since we're kids we have to go home at 5/6.
