Most office jobs are nice and relaxing compared to constantly organizing the shows. Scheduling, promoting, making posters, posting videos/photos, talking to fans, managing finances, making sure you're getting paid, splitting the money, setting up accommodations, checking the equipment, fixing the equipment, sound checking, loading/unloading, setting up/breaking down, staying in hotels every night (no cozy homey feeling for a year), playing loud music and acting happy with a flu/cold/stiff neck. I'm sure I'm forgetting a lot.

Great subject to talk about, but very poorly worked on. If this isn't some kind of prequel to a more elaborated series of vids with this band (or any other which is struggling on the road), i'd say this is a cheap ad based on feeling sorry for these guys. And that is wrong on so many levels because i, as a musician myself, want to feel happy for them, not look at them, see myself reflected and conclude that when some of us quit at some point, we do it because no one has to tell a story about begging promoters for food and this be the whole point of a certain toxic glamourization of our lives fighting to be full time musicans.

gotta disagree with you there as a fellow struggling touring musician. Its refreshing and somewhat vindicating to hear that PUP went through the same hardships many of have and have legitimately made big sacrifices to do what they do. Im trying to book shows in Europe and its honestly nice to know I'm not a total fuckup dealing with bands dropping out and whatnot. I dont think anyone is supposed to feel sorry for them- they have worked hard and are now living the dream, its inspiring to know that its normal to struggle! when things go wrong on the road its easy to blame yourself and feel like a total fuckup, its nice to know these guys are human and the struggle is part of the process

@@evanmatthiesen7478 i agree with you. I'm criticizing the way this was put up and the short length. It could be more interesting and elucidative for new musicians. Instead, they made a film about overcoming the need to starve till you get some recognition.
