How to Survive RLCraft - Step by Step Beginners Guide

This guide is all about combat/survival related tips and items for beginners I haven't listed commodity items like the atlas Temperature, at least in the early game isn't something you can "survive" if you spawned in a too hot or cold environment, you're better off spawning elsewhere or it'll affect your progression speed tremendously. A quest book is soon to be added in RLCraft 2.9, I don't know how good it'll be, but in the meantime, I've made this as "some form of quest book" of my own, that I hope you'll also find useful. It focuses only on the early game since that's where most people struggle, but also because I'll be starting a Hardcore Series soon enough and I'll probably be repeating these very same steps myself, most likely multiple times. The step by step guide ends once you've expanded out of your very first flint tools, the rest is about all the items you should build as soon as possible and a couple of suggestions on how to get the needed materials for them If you have any questions feel free to join my Discord Server! ► discord.gg/hVNNRW4

At 2:29 you can break sugarcane if you break the bottom block of the sugarcane (maybe you want to farm the sugar cane later when you get enough lvl)

I usually rush a bunch of stone spears. Easy to craft, cheap recipe and you can snipe anything with them from a long range. Respectable burst damage too.

Random obscure tip that probs won't help at all: avoid the battle towers in the End at all costs, if you're not paying attention and the Golem is at the bottom, you can fall through the world and lose everything... so no one has the same experience as me... :(

@@Shruikan465 No, the bottom floor sometimes doesn't even spawn. You'll walk around the corner and immediately fall into the void (unless you were being extremely cautious). The void prevents usage of scrolls & recall potions as you take damage, I think it is a guaranteed death.

I think you did a very good job with this video. 👏 I like that there is no intro and you introduce us to these ideas quickly and with no filler. My only suggestion is the audio could be better. I have an astro a50 gaming headset and it is expensive but the audio quality is amazing. It seems to cancel out the ambient noise very well and I even had my fan on and couldn't hear the fan.

Just want to say, you are awesome, died over 200 times and finally decided to look up some help guides as I am not sure of all the custom items would help in the beginning haha. Also my base ended up being near an abandoned mine shaft so have banshee's spawn almost everyday on me that goes through all blocks, no dragons around me, just have to deal with the bloody banshees....

The battle towers that go down into the ground are actually easier to 100%. If you dig the roof above the spawners the mobs can’t spawn on that floor. You can simply go one at a time clearing whatever leftover mobs are left on that floor and break the spawners for xp and loot. That’s not really a cheese you still have to fight your way down. especially when you reach zombie spawners because their ability to start swarming you when you hit them.

Numpad 9 in case you don't have a numpad (some laptops don't) check your controls and you can manually change the keybind

Fun fact about paxle not in your vid: a wooden paxle can mine iron.

yeah, it's always 1 tier above, but you still need mining level 4 to mine iron so rushing with a wooden paxel doesn't change much, besides, you're going to need to unlock the forge first, at that point, might as well make an iron one straight away

I'm so confused by 0:30. You say you can drink rain by crouch right clicking the sky, but you also say "rain does not give you thirst" while showing your character restoring thirst from drinking rain? So which one is it? lol

Thirst is a negative status effect that makes you lose your thirst meter more quickly. Now that you point it out it does sound a bit confusing, but it's basically the counterpart to hunger, which decreases the hunger bar more quickly.
