Are you sure you're coin mech is good? Have you tried it on another machine? Does the mech show any lights?

The 7600 is a pretty old machine and will not support a CC reader with its original board. You would have to upgrade the board to an aftermarket board like one from InOne.

There are probably dip switches on the coin mech that you turn on to add multiples of 5 cents. For instance, if the first dip switch were the only one on, the soda would be 5 cents. If the second dip switch were the only one on, the soda would be 10 cents. If the first and second dip switches were on, the soda would be 15 cents (5 + 10). Get it?

When you replace the coin mech. Do you have to fill the coin mech through the front “tube fill mode”? What happens when I fill the coins from the inside and fill each tube by hand?

It depends on the coin mech. If it is a newer coin mech that knows how much it has inside it, it usually isn't necessary. But if it's an older coin mech like the ones in this video, use tube fill mode.

@@Franisboche Eventually a machine will go into "exact change" mode because it thinks it doesn't have enough change in the mech when really it does. Then you will need to dump the change and fill it in tube fill mode. This has happened to me before so now I always fill older mechs in tube fill mode.

You need to make sure it's a vending mech with 24volt mdb....not an amusement mech with 117 volt. The mech should have a white 6 pin power harness.

@@AyoitsNifty Hmmm...I've never tried to take one of those apart since I usually just send them out for service. I guess you could try taking it apart and see if you can determine what is keeping the buttons depressed. Even if you mess it up, those coin acceptors are fairly inexpensive now so you could always pick up a replacement.

@HappyVending it essentially had no plungers in its buttons. so I had two of those models. The one I was trying to replace wasnt returning consistently. I swapped internal parts and my vending machine now makes correct change! I'll be sending the other off for repair.

Do you mean it doesn't report cash sales through the credit card reader? If so, look to see if there is a eprom update available for your control board. If not, you may need to get a replacement board like an Inone board if cash reports are important to you.

Hello, Thank you for your response and I apologize for the delayed reply...this isn't my primary email. I have another dilemma. My AMS 39 combo(guaranteed vend)won't except coins or bills. When I start the machine the acceptor goes through the motion,but I can't get the machine to work. I had someone come out and look at it with no success...he said it could be a motherboard issue. Finding a repairman has been a chore in itself. The guy who looked at the machine is quitting the business.I haven't heard back from AMS and it's become a bit discouraging. This is the machine that could help jump start my business and it's just sitting in my garage. Thanks for any insight. Kindly, Malcolm Parker
