Also make sure to never add loctite to Hinderer body screws. They're unrestrained so the female ends will just spin if you try to take it apart in the future. Lesson learned.

Thanks Paul for doing this for me and seeing the video was awesome! This is my knife that I purchased along with all the parts. I've done this before on an XM-18 and it's really cool, but right now I have too much going on so Paul agreed to swap out the parts for me! I thought it was awesome when I found out a You Tube video was made detailing the process. Definitely a great opportunity to show the process. I'm here to tell you that Paul killed it on this knife! Spot on! Fantastic job dude! Yet another reason DLT Trading rocks! I love the look of the Battle Black & Battle Blue with the Working Finish Blade & parts. It gives the knife a tough, well worn look & feel. This is something that I love about the Hinderer knives, the ability to further customize and personalize your knife and make it uniquely yours! Thanks again Paul!

+Noel Perrin You're welcome. I had this video on my to-do list, so the timing was perfect.

A penny works perfect for the pivot and a #14 Irwin bit from Amazon is perfect for the spanner...

Loosen the pivot and body screws with the blade partially deployed (vice versa for assembly), so you don't scratch up the blade.

Great video. Do you know if the regular 3.5 scale will fit the skinny model? Or do I have to have a skinny scale for that. Thanks for your time.

Are the working finish parts titanium that you replaced on this knife?

Base on your video I am surprised that the hindered tool does not come with a plastic / rubber sleeve so that if it does touch it does not mar the finish.

You don’t need the spanner nearly as much as he used it...for the most part you only need it to break the loctite loose

If ya put a dab of oil on your washer it won't fall off nilly willy.
@TheKnifeGuy5 жыл бұрын
The washer measurements are .015" thick, .5" outside diameter, .25" inside diameter, teflon plastic sucks. I replaced it with bronze washers.. Shame on Hinderer putting cheap teflon on $400+ knife

I cringed when you slipped off the pivot screw with the tool...they are so easy to mess up
