When I started swimming 6 months ago, I used full face snorkel mask to help me overcome breathing problem. It really gave me confidence in water and was essential to my swimming journey. I managed to focus on my arm and legs movement, also body position, without having to worry about breathing. With only instructions from YT videos, I swim 3 times a week, within 1 month I managed to swim breaststroke without the snorkel mask. I was so happy. I then picked up backstroke shortly after. After another 1 month or so, I managed to swim freestyle smoothly. After 4 months or so of starting, I managed to swim butterfly too. I wouldnt be able to do this all without the full face snorkel, a tool that I dont use at all now. Another tool I would recommend is fins, helped me practice dolphin kick. And it gave me the feeling of speed and fun of swimming in the early stages

I will try Johnsons baby oil on my old goggles, I usually just buy new ones when they start fogging up too much!

Great guide. You look great 😊😍I am struggling with breath and working on developing a good rotation. Regarding head position, do I need to keep head totally under water or only half the head under water? Also how deep goes hand before drag or pull backwards? What is your favorite drill for improving rotation?
@enduranceIDКүн бұрын
Keep half of your face under the water. If you bring up your head fully you will screw the body position. The higher your head, the lower your legs. Keep your arm at at 90 degree when you pull, straight arm will be exhasting and after a couple of strokes you won't be pulling. Try side kicking with fins, can be both dolphin kick or freestyle kick, another drill is 1 arm drill when taking a breath point your chin at the shoulder. Have a good swim! :D

Hi I am asking about freestyle swimming, my swimming freestyle is unable to go straight from one side to other side what mistake I did, I am going diagonally please explain

Try wim with a pull buoy to reduce kicking and focus on your upper body technique or use fins during practice to help with propulsion and better understand proper alignment. This should help, keep going, you got this!
