March 2023.I have completed watching the 7 videos ready for the new season. Julian's Proper Golf is a far better way of learning & improving golf than the old fashioned way I followed 35 years ago. His new facility with state of the art technology should speed up improvement. My 79 years of age & 11 year old mobile phone was a different way of getting better. I wish Julian's way had been available in 1980 !

Julian, this series is excellent. Each lesson is clear, concise & easy to follow. Most importantly, as a whole the series gives great feedback - when I don’t strike the ball correctly, I just remind myself of each of the lessons, as a checklist. Being able to identify the problem, is such a plus. Thank you.

The entire series is excellent. I liked your explanation of the different parts of the FLOW in the NATURAL position. This morning as I began part 1 again it was very good of you to have part 2 show at the end of part 1 and so on. You have made this very easy to understand. You have a God given talent of teaching and I am so glad you are using it to help people.

Hi Julian. This is something every golfer should try. I watched your series, practiced and tried this on the golf course, let me just say, you're a genius!!!. Shot 1 over my handicap, putting let me down a bit, but tee to green, so consistent!!. A huge thank you for this video. keep them coming.

Julian This was an excellent series of videos for which I congratulate and thank you. Being an Easiest Swing golfer ,who started through Brian Sparkes, when I initially started following you I was apprehensive mainly due to your age and apparent height ( Brian was more my age). However your way of teaching is as simple as Brian,s and I am turning to your teachings and benefitting immensely. I am an "old boy" of 80 years but can still manage the full swing you teach. I am obviously not as fit as I was at your age but this swing is so simple I can manage it without damaging my body or health.I follow the strategy of Old Man Pat on Liams channel and this too shows that decent golf can still be accomplished in old age. Simple golf is what is needed and simple golf is what you teach for which I ,once again, thank you. Regards to you and the missus. Stay Well and Stay Safe.

Thank you for these kind words Bob, I really do appreciate you taking time to watch the videos and feedback to me. I truly believe that the golf swing is being made to complicated and favours the younger golfers and us senior golfers get ignored. I’ll endeavour to keep things as simple as possible,yet correct. Jo says hi and thank you also 😀

As I look at this video it shows your stance width remains the same (1 natural stride) for all the clubs. Thanks for giving that information. I have enjoyed and learned a lot from your 7 video series. YOU are a fantastic instructor!!!🤠

Just seen your video using alignment sticks from the putter shaft to under your armpits. I tried it & found it to be an excellent practice drill. It's a pity you will NOT be allowed to do it in a competition! Modern ideas have moved coaching on from the Leadbetter positions. When I play doubles tennis I use my imagination making use of some table tennis ideas as well as occasionally serving underhand & sometimes playing a shot with my left hand. As Julian suggests be open to original ideas when playing golf to suit your age, ability & limitations. Julian's coaching has developed by taking on board worthwhile innovations & willing to try different things.

Dear Julian. On the range today I went through the whole series, after I have done it at home a few times. It went pretty well. The biggest change is to get rid of the many swing thoughts and the biggest challenge is to let go of the tension. Driver did not go well, probably because I did not apply it as with the other clubs. Way to go but thank you for the series, which motivated me to try this easy swing again. Seems my lower back thanks me for that. Best, Peter
@JulianMellor

That’s great, Peter. There is easy and there’s correct. I like the idea of having a routine to fall back on and practise regularly. Swinging at home is the first step followed by range and finally take it to the golf course. Pleased that your back isn’t suffering 😀

Hello Julian, your swing reminds me of Tom Purtzer or perhaps Tom Weiskoff of the past. It is very smooth motion without the anticipated contact with the ball much of us have. I enjoyed this series many thanks.

Hi John, another simple clear instructional video. I’m a senior golfer 🏌️‍♀️ (65) and I used to play on a very low handicap. Going back to my proper swing I find I have regained much of my lost distance. Brilliant.

Is the speed at the bottom applied by using the ground to speed the turn of the hips or is it applied by activating the arms?
