If you are adjusting the delay for feet or meters, you are adjusting for the size of the venue, that is, the distance between speaker clusters -- so the sound arrives simultaneously to the ear of the listener. It has nothing to do with the length of the cables.

The device adds too much hiss noise.

I would check other components and settings to make sure the noise isn't interference from another source. My signal is noise-free, but I do occasionally have issues from cables and other electronics.

@@anthonybanks I have an unusual mic setup, as well as, I have to deal with weird RF interference (I live right next to a very large and very active USAF base) which causes a lot of line-noise and the Shark does seem to be helping, but I need to fiddle with things to find the Goldilocks combination of settings to minimize that noise.

@@anthonybanks I already had to do that due to a ground-loop problem (which significantly improved things) before I could even start working on the RF-noise isolation problem.
