No, it worked. I got an P40 lite and all you have to do is download outlook app and sign in with an outlook or hotmail account and then add the gmail account. After that, you'll see the two inboxes in the app (the outllook/hotmail and gmail). All you gotta do afterwards is to delete the outlook account (from app settings) and there it is, outlook app working as gmail app, calendar sync included.
