If I have a 20 minute audio clip that has 3 5minute video clips that start a few minutes after the audio start, can I drop the video clips onto their sync points if the audio file is already loaded. Will the first video always snap to 0:00
@svenkrause7155 жыл бұрын
What if videos do have a variable framrate (VFR) and audio is not synced over several clips? Then I will end up with non synced audio. I know that there is a workaround with handbrake on the Mac, but then I cannot use ipad standalone.
@DigiDriftZone4 жыл бұрын
I try to do that to line up audio but there's some kind of magnet action happening where it just jumps back instead of staying where I dragged it, any ideas?
@bradsballads30413 жыл бұрын
I think that’s LumaFusion snapping to the next frame of your video. The only solution is to up the frame rate, I think. Try 48 or 60 and you will be able to adjust more precisely.

How do you view the a track footage without cutting out the b track footage? I like looking at both views to find the best angle at the time. Very frustrating.
@VictorSteiner4 жыл бұрын
Is there a way to turn the behavior at 5:27 off? I want to re-align the video and control-listen at that second but whenever I release the pencil after dragging one of the video to the spot where I think they are in sync (clapping wasn‘t possible on this recording, it‘s a singer and then the same guy plays piano to it so it didn‘t happen at the same time, we needed it on two seperate tracks) it jumps back to the beginning of the video. In your video it wasn‘t as bad because your sync point was right at the start, but mine is 50 seconds in.

Being a LumaFusion user, can you tell me if the 32 bit wave audio files produced on the Zoom F3 are supported in LumaFusion?

@@AirPhotography Did you ever make that video?
@otm7775 жыл бұрын
Good stuff! You probably already know that you can also “triple tap” the clip with good audio to create a copy of the audio track from that video. That way you can have a completely separate audio track and mute all video tracks.
@cre8tivity064 жыл бұрын
So would this process work if I recorded myself playing the drums and I had an audio track I would use for reference to sync with the clean audio coming from an audio recorder? Once I have everything in sync, would I be able to delete the reference track and keep the clean audio track for the final edit with this process you shared? With Final Cut Pro, I used a program called Pluraleyes to do all the syncing but I am using LumaFusion more and more these days. Thank you!
@cre8tivity063 жыл бұрын
I just realized you never responded to my question and here I sit editing a drumming video and I’m having a time trying to sync the audio. Why can’t the audio clips move freely on the timeline and not have snapping turned on?
@bradsballads30413 жыл бұрын
@@cre8tivity06 Yes, I would love LF to work like Adobe Rush here - no snapping. But LF snaps to the next frame. So I use at least 48 fps to make sure the snapping isn’t so much of an issue. I might use 60 going forward to be honest, the problem disappears at high frame rates. Maybe LF will address this in the next version.
@cre8tivity063 жыл бұрын
@@bradsballads3041 Oh okay. Maybe I will try 60fps next time as well and see if I have better results! Thanks for the response.

Explanation is clear and easy, as usual. What if I did not clap, how can I sync my audio and video? Thank you.
@AirPhotography4 жыл бұрын
What you can do is just look for any wave form similarities in the audio. Even when we talk we get spikes and usually it’s enough to be able to line them up decently

can you please tell me if there's a way tyo fully seperate audio from videos ? i just recorded a game on my xbox and for some reason the audio doesn't precisely line up with the video in lumafusion even though the spikes look to be on the same spots. i just need to seperate so that i can cut a bit off the video and line in up that way but lumafusion doesn't let me. i can do it with the audio but some reason not with the video, even though they are already seperated.

Just triple tap on the video file and it will separate the audio onto its own audio track

Is there any way of nesting multiple video layers in lumafusion? Say I have a snow layer on top of a video and i want this layer to follow the transition i do on the clip underneath, do i have to apply the transition with copy paste effect on two clips every time or can you nest clips like in Premiere for example?

Awesome video, thanks! I’m loving the Luma Fusion tutorials. Very clear and easy to follow. I’m trying to go 100% iPad editing. Well done, from a fellow Canadian 🇨🇦. I have a question about the WD My Passport Wireless Pro drive. I recently bought one for the purpose of using it with Luma Fusion. I put a bunch of files on it from SD cards and the iPad with their app. Then when I plug the drive into my Windows computer it says the drive needs to be formatted before I can use it. Do you know anything about this? Thanks.

It would be nice if Lumatouch could include a function to just search for a short audio section on basis of the waveform and vertically align that, a sort of Shazam sequence. Then it would be 100% in sync and no need for this clapping. Until they do, this tip is helpful.

Something I have needed to do is move the audio a bit since it isn’t always synced with the image. Triple-tapping automatically separates the audio track, and then it can be adjusted as needed. Typically I have to move it 4-5 frames, otherwise it looks like a poor dub.
