How to tablet Kiosk with Motion Detection, Screen Saver and Power Management

In this Lux Mounts Monday guide, I will show you how to install and setup fully kiosk browser on an Amazon Fire tablet. This is the first step before we setup HA Dashboard and HABPannel on these amazon fire tablets. We will be setting up Motion detection, screen saver, power management and kiosk mode. The tablet will be locked down to the URL we set and turn on with motion. This Amazon Fire tablet is wall mounted using a wall mount kit from Lux Mounts.

Fully kiosk is a great product. I've been using it on my fire 7 wall mounted tablet(Home Assistant) for about a year, and its been 100% solid. One issue I see for the motion detection is that at night if there is not enough light, it doesn't work.

Is there any way I can keep my background clock on instead of the screen saver you mention? I need it this way to keep medical devices working and seen. I normally have to press the power button on the tablet then touch the screen for it to go into the mode! Thanks for your video very helpful! MK I just downloaded fully kiosk brower on my fire tablet 10.1, with the newest kiosk. In your video, the settings display is not the same as what you put up...older version? I am wanting to get my tablet to open with motion detection. I also downloaded a different moving screensaver which I would like to use. I have the time set in fire settings when to turn to screensaver and run for one min. Thx Erika

How did you resolve the charging issue? If a tablet is pluged in 24hours the battery could be damaged or deformed which is really dangerous.

I like fully, but for me it crashes at least every other day-Chrome on Android was more reliable. Thanks for showing me that crash recovery-didn't know it was there. It also wont stream mpegs. I may try Wallpanel as someone suggested below. P.S. Bought your little Luxmount kit. It's pretty nice, but you should consider making the buttons captive. It looked to me like there were some artifacts there that led me to believe you started. Maybe it didn't work? I hacked a USB cord and put it on the end of one of those 'lil transformers in the back of the switch box. My OCD wouldn't allow that wire dangling in the breeze. AAUUUGGH..

great video!! I found out how to charge my table with out any wires showing. the switch that i have my table mounted to is a smart sonoff smart switch, so sonoffs have a 3.3v power out put on it. i used a dc-dc converter stepup boost module 600MA usb charger 0.9v-5v part number (TE110) connected the 3.3v to the input and pluged in the table usb to it. now it charges and there are no wires coming out of wall mount, its all behind.

go to settings - about phone go down to it says "version" and the build number (not android version). spam it and you unlock developers settings. open developer settings and put on "keep awake when charging"
