My man, you go through all that trouble to make a t-shirt fit? Wow! I grew up in the 90s I don't relate. I prefer my clothes loose & comfortable. I'd rather see you spend your time on learning how the world works. Like The Great Reset for example. That's a project being proposed by an individual by the name of Klaus Schwab of the World Economic Forum. It's basically a plan to bring in a world government dictatorship. You might say, that's conspiracy theory. Well Klaus & his Great Reset was just featured in a recent issue of Time magazine. As a matter of fact, The Great Reset made the cover. Look it up. I'm not saying you shouldn't be concerned about your appearance, but that's a little much dude.

I'm making a point to comment on all of your sewing videos: as a young man who tailors his own clothes (who's also a rugged, outdoorsy guy, through-and-through), I am always happy to see someone (especially a man's style YT channel) promote this activity. It gives you a large degree of independence, which I think is an essential part of being a man

Thank you, that's really useful. My Dad learned to use a treddle sewing machine when he attended an "army school" in Scotland (starting at age 9), went on to be a band boy in Tidworth and joined the Royal Scots Greys as a Farrier (Blacksmith) and went on to become a Tank Instructor when they were mechanised whilst in the Middle East during WWII when they became the 14th/20th Hussars. Ah yes ! I have been making alterations to my clothes for ages . I just tailor my clothes as I see fit in order to achieve what I consider to be the perfect fit for me . Yes it is a lengthy procedure and you will need lots of patience and time and some strong thread and needles but the end result is ALWAYS worth it .

The easiest way is to buy your shirts to fit in the shoulder and neck and be at least big enough everywhere else, then you just adjust all the other areas. If shirts that fit in the shoulder are always too small elsewhere then it's more difficult, either look for specialty sizes, buy/make custom shirts, or for something like tee shirts try ladies plus size, since sometimes they are narrow in the shoulder but generous through the waist.

I've been doing high end prototype sewing for 25 years but never thought about tailoring a T-shirt. But why not do it? A cheap clothing item that fits well will look way better than a very expensive one that fits poorly.

Look for an older one on Craigslist. Older machines are better. If it doesn't already work well or needs adjustments take it to a sewing machine repair shop to have it oiled and adjusted.

The one in the video is very affordable. Although I think they may have upgraded the model. Anyway, its just under $200 which I'm sure should be more than sufficient for someone like me that's only interested in making those basic fit alterations.. Had no idea they went up to $1000!
