Thank you for this video and your channel! You break things down nicely. In my program, we have to pass our comps on the first try for our clinical grade. Successful repeat attempts will not count. It's A LOT of pressure to get things right on the first try. Not looking forward to the surgical/OR rotation, especially since we don't have those machines to practice with in lab.

Your lateral xray is pretty confusing since the foot still has an angle

You are correct, it does have an angle. It’s not good unless you’re doing a standing x-ray to superimpose the metatarsal’s. That’s why is slight angle backwards is good. You still get a pretty good lateral view without any superimposition. My lateral might’ve been a little bit too rotated but definitely it’s possible.
