Fantastic video - just what I was looking for after stripping down and renovating a part rusty Auto knitter. Got it to work fairly well so far but not sure about oiling the needles and channels in the cylinder. I've not been too generous with oil but don't know how much is too much. Loved your no-nonsense and straight to the point explanations. Looking forward to more . Regards from the UK!

Hi Mark, thank you so much for your lovely comments! As for the oil, I put it on until it dripped off the machine, and then I blotted it with paper towel until it stopped dripping... Then when I put the machine back together again, I made sure there was no oil anywhere on the outside, including the tops of the needles. (to make sure it didn't get on the yarn) So I did actually give it quite a liberal coating of oil.

Thank you! I just purchased a vintage machine. It was pictured set up and with knitting on it but arrived dissembled. Got some sock yarn and the pieces sorted out...mostly... Next to oil it and try it out! Thank you

This series is really helpful thankyou! Mum & I have just bought a vintage machine, which hasn't arrived yet, and we're not sure what condition it will be in. Your success has given me more confidence.
