How to take camps on more heroes by learning to avoid damage (not just siege camps)

Bruiser camps can be intimidating, but did you know with one small trick you can cut their damage in half? The trick shown in this video can be done on tons of heroes, so don't think it is limited to malthael.

Afaik % based damage doesnt get lowered by armor either, hence Tychus shredding Garrosh

NotParadox (or anyone else), can you tell me, if you always have to kill the mage first in knight camps? I always do this, but I feel like nobody else does this, so I might be wrong.

Mage camp gives the other camps spell armor it is also ranges which makes avoiding the damage difficult. I find it's just the most efficient way of dealing with the camps.

when you are clearing camps with AAs,dont do it. the mage doesnt deal as much damage. if you use abilities to do more then 10 percent of the damage,its starts getting worth it. and with the walk technique you should definitly do it.

You really are being harsh on Silver-Gold players, I think it is somewhat unrealistic to say they don't do things like this. Stuff like this video is basic knowledge, everyone knows this.

Come on guys really? Doing such "dancing" around the melee units "creep camp" was already common practice long ago back in the days of Warcaft3. Only there you had to micro more small units but there were plenty of tricks one could use to avoid some damage or avoid the creep spells becasue creeps had stuns, lightning shield, ensnare and otehr small abilities. Doing mercs is very very similar to that just much more limited because you have only one hero. The worst are actually the goat men mercs of the Diablo maps and Goliath on Starcraft maps because because they are all ranged and point click instead of Area targeting so you cannot avoid the damage so easily.

Common knowledge? Depends on who you're referring to. Yes a lot of people know this, especially those at higher ranks or those that watch tournament play and see the commentators focusing on it every now and than. However these are actually the minority out of all HotS players. The majority, which fill most of the bronze-gold ranks don't know basics like these and make terrible mistakes over and over again. So this kind of video is actually incredibly important for many people. With that said, most of the people who don't know these kind of basics don't usually watch stuff on KZbin either but at least some of them will and for those it will certainly be a great help.

That's just not true. A lot of people in Silver and Gold don't even have enough control over their mechanics to stutter-step properly.
