Thx just got my 2,345,000 CR Bond solo thx to this video. It was quite a learning curve still. Lots of frustration with engineering until i got it right (2 caustic sinks -- because i didn't want to craft anything while at the titan, 64 cargo full of repair limpits -- maybe overkill but it gave me more time to learn so i think it was worth it, 3 ax missile pods, a beam laser to stay cool, and nanite torpedo was my loadout). As soon as i learned the topography of the titan it was a breeze. Eventually i realized i didn't need to be in silent running all the time, just when i was getting shot at by the turrets because >20 degrees. I found speed to be essential and hopefully no one bothers to try and clear the turrets on the titan, totally unnecessary. I would just fly to the side with the vent mountains. Wait for it to open (while zapping with the beam laser to stay below 20 degrees). Drop a nanite bomb when it lets me lock on. Boost around to the other side of the ship, typically in silent running. Get in position at the core, crown/pointy mountain area, well before it opened at a distance of like 100 meters away (aiming not an issue for the 3 dumbfire missile pods at that distance). Wait for the core to expose itself (sometimes it didn't open, maybe i missed?) while shooting the laser to stay cool. Unload on the core for around 148k in credits (i think that's the max credits possible per run). And when it retracts just boost like 30 km away straight up to avoid the blue blast that's coming (while popping a repair limpet and firing off the last rockets in the magazine to trigger a reload). I noticed at this distance nothing will try to attack so its a good place to repair or take a break if necessary. Then just fly back to the other side of the titan, find a vent, wait for it to open, and repeat.

What ship were you using for your attack?
@focusedwolf6 ай бұрын
@@delunevonbekThis was done with a krait 2. Later i improved the ship with Sirius pre-engineered rockets and learned that bombing multiple vents resulted in more CR damage to the vent. Now i can do approximately 388k CR damage per run. EDIT: This is my current build. The (#) is power priority because this is a lot of stuff and we need some of it to turn off when deploying weapons. Weapons: (3) 3C AX Missile Rack (3D version won't fire, idk, all the builds i've seen use 3C AX) (3) 3C AX Missile Rack (I now use 3C Sirius AX missiles for a little extra DPS but these off-the-shelf ones work just fine. They are how i hit my first two titans for like 2-3 mil each) (3) 3C AX Missile Rack (3) 2I Guardian Nanite Torpedo launcher (Just used for shooting the vent) (3) 2D Beam Laser (Engineering: G5 long-range weapon + thermal vent, just for staying cool without heatsinks) Utility Mounts: (3) Thargoid Pulse Neutralizer (3) Enhanced Xeno Scanner (2) Caustic Sink Launcher (Engineering: Ammo Capacity) (2) Heat Sink Launcher (PRE-ENGINEERED)

Excited to finally take the fight to the 'Goids, but I hope this isn't the last time we ever see Titans in-game. Would be a shame if we lost this very cool environment & gameplay loop permanently. Maybe periodic Titan incursions into the bubble, or ones that we have to clear as we "island hop" to thargoid space

My guess is that after a period of quiet, either Titans will occasionally show up in the bubble and need to be repelled, or we will be allowed into a permit locked area where the Titans come from that will allow them to be fought indefinitely.

CMDR Buur, I loved this video. You made it sound so simple, and yet I have purchased essentially a fleet of Kraits. But seriously, I am able to consistently get to the Titan now (thank you!!) I was timing the pulse wave nuetralizer incorrectly. I am annoyed by the sheer number of interdictions just to get near the Maelstrom, but once you're to the cloud, assuming you don't run into the mines, it really isn't difficult to get to the Titan. And ... truly ... the suggestion to put the caustic sink launchers all under one button and allow the field nuetralizer to be fired from the other is a fantastic solution. While there was a learning curve, these tips should be all anyone needs to get there and see the truly breathtaking views. o7 Commanders.

Something else worth noting, and this is mostly for when you're attacking with a group and waiting for your wingmates to arrive, if you hang out in the asteroid field surrounding the Titan, the patrols will largely ignore you. Just be mindful of the seed mines (you can pop them with the beam laser, just be a couple km away), and you can sit pretty without worry. Great video as always Burr, look forward to seeing your future coverage as we wipe the rest of these Titans, and once we can investigate the remains of Taranis.

I tend to run 2 caustic sinks on opposite fire groups. The pulse neutrilizer can be bound to a keyboard command as it counts as a shutdown field neutrilizer. So it doesn't need to be in a fire group. Having the caustic sinks in opposite fire groups means you can purge each as it becomes full so you never need to choose between dumping early or letting the caustic reach your hull

Excellent guide, thank you both for making it. Hadad was my first titan bombing, didn't really have time before. The tips were really helpful (e.g. set-up of fire groups) and even though I died a couple of times I could get my 2 Mill Bonds in the third try. First time I had 5 vents I believe and made about 400k, second time I died before reaching the core, third time I only did 3 vents to get down in time for the core and could hit it for the full extension time, which gave me over 2 Mill. I'm sure with more practice I can improve upon that, but for the Bonds it seems more important to get the damage in on the core rather than hitting as many vents as possible. In any case for my very first attempt this was fine and would not have been possible without your help. Thanks again.

Going into the maelstrom first of all; then getting in to the titans for the first time; collecting materials and rescuing passengers and these were quite tough. And the current attack the titan is brilliant… it is like a mini attack on death star. And out of all the Titan gameplay, it is I feel the easiest to get involved in. And I say this as someone who is not an AX specialists pilot (or someone who is even any good at combat). So if you’re new to AX or titans, now really is the time the try and the tips in this video are really good.

Does a ship fly through the costic cloud to the titan, or is the costic always present?
@Barbequeque6 ай бұрын
As you're entering the cloud, you will occasionally come across caustic damage... As long as you have the sinks on board and set to a fire group, they should absorb it. If you're not certain on how they work, having them equipped and on a fire group (It does not have to be on your primary fire driven. They can be a secondary or even tertiary group), You will see bars underneath them on your HUD, as you take caustic damage, they will start filling up. Once all of your sinks fill up, you will then begin to take damage to your hull, switch to the fire group that they're on and eject them and you will start the process all over.
@Barbequeque6 ай бұрын
Right. I forgot to mention this as well... Once you pass the point where you see the asteroids and you can actually see the Titan, you shouldn't take any further caustic damage

Removed the frustrating Glaive hyperdictions...those drove me up the wall. To the point where I stopped trying to get to the Titans. No unlocks for Caustic Sync and Pulse defeat. Do you think they finally realized that most people were done with engineering grinds?
@TheBuurPit6 ай бұрын
I certainly think they realised the glaive and material requirements were preventing folks from participating and they therefore needed to make changes to open that gameplay up to as many as possible.
@jellowiggler6 ай бұрын
@@TheBuurPitI don't mind working for an unlock. But the ones that make you gather the list of requirements every time you need another instance of the item are just silly. The Glaive beatdown on Titans that had longer than a few jumps to reach was pretty severe. Especially when the double Glaive was a possibility. The real issue is that it changed the game from designing a ship for a purpose where the player had control of only engaging in that purpose when they were in that ship. All of a sudden you could either have an interceptor build, or a Glaive build, (or an Orthis build). If you got caught by the one you were not equipped for you had a to run. Which is ok, until you have 5-6 hyper/interdictions on the way to a Titan and there was a good chance that one of those 5-6 dictions was a double, which had a good chance of killing you. You also had a good chance of dying if you lost 20% hull each time. You can only narrowly escape so many times before the game just ground you to death. Then it became a choice of value of play experience for my time. After a few of those I just got tired of wasting my hour in attempting to have fun. So I did other things in the game, then took a bit of a break. It wasn't necessarily incorrect, but it wasn't the right choice for the user experience in light of what the player base was used to. Definitely not the right choice for engagement of newer players.
