How to take off Front door panel in Honda Odyssey 2011-2017

If you're needing to reupholster your Honda Odyssey door armrest, like I was . . . YES, you do need to remove the entire door panel just like this video shows you. The 2011-2017 armrest does not simply just pop off like I hoped it would. It it screwed on INSIDE with over a dozen screws and the entire door panel has to come off to get to those screws. I decided to tackle this project while my husband was away. I returned to this very informative video every step of the way. I watched many videos and this one was by far the best. I wish I had taken pictures of the inside of the door armrest. Perhaps I will for the passenger door. Thank you for this most helpful video. I could not have completed this project without this video and my son helping me.

Is the passenger door different with popping the lock mechanism out? My 2016 Od does not have the black button on the passenger side. I took the cables off first.

One change: you can also release the two cables for the door handle instead of popping the whole handle out. The way you did it made it look easier because it's a little tricky the way the cables fasten down... Anybody reading this you just gently swing the little plastic piece out of the way and that will allow you to release the cable

You did it quickly and simply, but when we do it ourselves, it's not that easy 🙂 Anyway, I need it for the molding belts installation, and I have to remove the the panel to remove the mirror, this video may help. Thank you!
