i recently found my parents cannon EOS 500 in a green cannon bag. They bought this camera for their honeymoon and once digital cameras came around converted to them. i am learning now how to use the camera and have ordered batteries for it so i can start to get to grips with it. This video was very helpful and thanks to you i can start to navigate the information overload that is Film Photgraphy.

Is this good for someone who don't know how to use manual mode? Isn't my case I'm trying to find a good film camera for a friend.

Yes it is. You can set it on Program mode and use it like a point and shoot camera.

Love my Canon EOS 500. It’s a perfect camera for travel or day trips. Takes EF lenses, which is great, is lightweight, inexpensive now to buy, and takes great pictures. I find myself going for this more often than some of my other film cameras because it is a solid performer and easy to take everywhere with me. Enjoyed the video!
