what about the bus schedules? did you already know when there were buses on this route or did buses leave Tirana for Shkoder with a certain frequency?

You just go there, and the guys will all be yelling the town. Vlore vlore vlore. Skodra. Skodra. Skodra, etc. You look at the bus. If you have a few options, check the price. Some just wait till they are full and go. Some will just go after a while. It's not as bad as india or Southeast Asia, but when I was there, there were still no. bathrooms. If you find some local friends and ask them to get you a driver It's like 35$ to $50 in a private car to a lot of places but they charge the foreigners like 100€ so you need a local friend who can find you a driver. Will be more pleasant. Someone's cousin will need a few bucks.
