These tips are not only helpful to new dancers or dancers who simply wish to dance at a social level, they are also helpful to competitive dancers as it is always helpful to revisit the basics to ensure you are the best you can be.

WOW, many thanks for your videos, I was competing thirty years ago and at the time they used to say how Latin often changes but Modern as we called it at the time doesn't. Yes I can remember being told to "Invite the lady to come to you" but never as much detail as you both described. We danced in C Grade back then.

@@jtballroom no one could be as graceful as you two.. But who knows perhaps myself and Mark could become Jonathan and Talysa of UK ballroom.. Really impressed with the dance lesson... Perhaps one day we could do it for real.. Take care 😍

I'm fairly new to ballroom dancing and these videos helps a lot. I always have trouble with my form, do you have any exercise recommendations that helps build the muscles?

Hey Jacob! Welcome to the wonderful world of ballroom dancing 😊 We’ve actually recently uploaded a new video on our channel from our specialised Ballroom Fitness class. In this video you can find some inspiration to help you get stronger and try new ballroom-specific exercises 💪🏼 Hope you enjoy watching! kzbin.info/www/bejne/nHaul4F4pJlqq7s

This is great, good job explaining the position. Could I suggest that you not wear black when you demonstrate for video? It's so much easier to see where your two bodies are if you wear lighter colors. Especially for older dancers looking at small screens! Otherwise you are nice to listen to and easy to understand and helpful. Thank you!

8:00, Man's elbow line is in the same height with the shoulder for symmetrical and aesthetic look. Lady's elbows could be higher for the taller man.
