It happens in France in 1862. it's about a man who stole a piace of bread so he is taken to prison after a few years, he get out of prison and try to change his life. He met a woman who has a girl, suddenly the woman died and she decides to raise the little girl. In the end the man tried to give him the best life possible and he succeeded, he finally died being a good person.
