Google Mark "chopper" Read. He was a small time gang criminal in Australia through the 70's and 80's who became part of pop culture. He got his nickname after getting a reputation for chopping off ears and toes and the like of some of his criminal victims. Larger than life and quite a character by all accounts but you wouldn't want to be on the wrong side of him. A nasty SOB I'm sure.

I have a friend who teaches many Indians in adult English classes. We both laughed till we hurled! These are brilliant satire pieces that work on many levels. They poke fun at the monoculture Australia had in the past, the stereotypes of the police, the ignorant foreigner in Australia, the bogan in contemporary Australia, as well as being an homage to the individual language that has developed in this country at the bottom if the globe. These pieces are an utterly must watch set for all us English teachers!

Thank you @HowToTalkAustralians for the hilarious video ... I had heard most of these, but what made me literally laugh-out-loud was the Dog Food quip at 0:57, oh and the very last skit, where he wouldn't tell the lady what "She bangs like a dunny door" means =)
