How to Tape Aerial Hoop

I love that you talked about inspecting your hoop firstly. Immediately you confirm you are a proper aerial artist. This is one of the best most accurate videos I've seen on wrapping a lyra yet. My only question is what is your opinion on adding prewrap first before the tape, and can you add a video where you do add that firstly.

Thanks. This was very helpful. Question; does it matter what width tape you buy? I am buying my first hoop and wondering what width would be best. Second question; how do you choose what hoop is the right diameter for you? Thanks

Hiya, apologies for the late reply. The diameter is usually personal preference and depends what you plan to do. I have a smaller hoop too which I use when I want to work under the hoop because I train at a low height it maximises the space I have underneath when rigged up The recommended way is to measure from heel to lower back. Firetoys.com has a great blog on it www.firetoys.co.uk/blogs/what-size-aerial-hoop-do-i-need So I wouldn't say the width of tape makes much difference xx
