Hi dear Thank you so much for the information. My question is, for lining the angle of the needle should be vertical or Italics? And also I see some artist do the line in side way is that good or cause blowouts? Thanks
@churchofmora
@churchofmora 11 ай бұрын
@@alawahdan2755 Hey 😁 So I’ve found that having the machine pointing directly down or if you have it on too steep an angle can both have blowout risk. This can be due to things like the needle hitting the same spot too many times in a row or the needle catching on the skin because of the harsh angle and in turn pushing it in too deep. So I like to try and pull every line at around a 45 degree angle which seem to massively reduce the risk. I hope that answers your question! If not ask again in a different way and I’ll try to answer in a better way 😂

That was a sick video, thanks for the shared knowledge. Artists where I work are really adamant on removing the second skin 24 hours after the tattoo AT MOST. Ever had any bad experiences with it staying on? Hearing you speak, it seems like you probably had some with people removing it too fast. It kind of goes against what I thought I knew, I like it, it's new knowledge for me. Thank you again for the video.

Thank you 🙏🏼 yeah I’ve found that everyone is a little different that’s why I like to give them a window of the 2-7 days so they can gauge themselves how it’s settling and decide when to take it off. I’ve had it on some of my own tattoos for 2-3 days and it was fine and others for 7-10 days (due to laziness) and again fine. The only issue I’ve ever heard back from customers is that the longer they leave it, the harder the adhesive clings to the skin making it more painful or tricky to remove. But I have found that removing it prematurely and then recovering can heavily heighten the infection risk so it’s best to either leave it on from the session or leave it off completely once removed 👌🏼

Hey! Yeah it hasn’t really been a vital part of my set up once I’d started to specialise in Blackwork. I used to use it all the time back in the day when I used colours and greywash, but these days I only use it to tackle dry/irritated skin because the ink is much harder to wipe off so the layer of Vaseline delays it absorbing into the skin. But I’ve never really noticed it making a difference to the actual tattoo process for me so for the most part I just do without 😊

Love the video ! But couldn't you cut the second skin over the stencil before you even brake skin. Think it would provide less chance of crosscontamination.
@churchofmora
@churchofmora 11 ай бұрын
You could for sure if you know how it’s definitely gonna look at the end. But as I said it in the video I don’t really plan the detail before hand, I just see what will look good when I’m doing the tattoo so sometimes I might add extra shading, details or background on the outside of the design so it’s best to just size up the second skin afterwards. I am very careful when I do it though, cross contamination is something I take very seriously, but it’s best for every artist to do what works for them. If you’re worried about the risks cutting it before hand is advisable but once you’ve got you technique down you can do it safely under any circumstances

@churchofmora
@churchofmora 11 ай бұрын
It’s actually designed to be completely waterproof so you can shower and stuff like normal. The only thing you have to try and avoid is over submerging it, say if you take a bath or something the heat will loosen the adhesive causing it to peel or allow water inside. But if you’re cautious it can hold strong. I’ve had it on a tattoo myself for 7 days (mainly because I was too lazy to take it off 😂) And it was completely unfazed by showers, sleeping or anything else I got up to while it was on. That’s why it’s so popular these days because of how well it can work

As tattoo technologies move on so do our techniques. I understand the need to lubricate the skin if you’re using hand made, textured or cheap mass produced needles because they aren’t polished. The cartridges I used have extremely sharp and high quality polished pins meaning they cut surgically through skin with minimal resistance, they cost more but it’s worth it to damage your customers skin less and doesn’t require additional lubrication more than the flesh provides naturally

Are house foundations just glorified lego ? they are the backbone of any tattoo, but then again its a killer ink video, they sell to scratchers and thats who these videos cater to, An apprentice will be taught all of this by their master . in the bin you go .... loves his work to fall out so he can go again, single pass lines and good shading wont fall out......these new kids thinkin they are inventing something lol, even the word black work artist is horseshiz...

That’s actually completely wrong! Most of the worlds best tattoo artists have the shittest tattoos because they got into getting tattooed long before they were at the level of quality they are these days and they also get filled with shit stuff when they were younger because they had such a strong passion for tattooing. Plus we practice on ourselves and let others practice on us. So actually a tattoo artist having good work on them is usually a red flag in this industry because it can show you their inexperience.
