I'm starting to understand why tattoo artists draw the tracing lines, and now I have something else to practice on which is awesome. Dude you are awesome!

Just wanna say good lookin out on this tutorial video , I’ve been drawing ever since I can remember, and been tattooing as hobby for bout 7yrs but the last few yrs I’ve been really trying to get my skills up to a more professional level ya know... slowly but surely I’m making progress because I am teaching myself everything I know with only the help from you tube videos and lots of hard work tattooing myself and others. So anyways I just bought my first ever iPad Pro and was totally lost on how to do anything, but after seeing ur video I am now making sum badass , hella clean stencils... so I just wanna say good looking out on sharing that knowledge bro... your videos are definitely helping me sharpen my skills and getting me closer to that next level.... very much appreciated Mr. Ayer.

While I respect that you have a passion for tattooing and are proactive about it, you should really try to get into a shop to learn from an established professional. That's the only way you are going to learn what you need to know about tattooing.

Still if you want to do a lion or a tiger its better to change color and put grayscale mode on your printer after otherwise you might have to turn the oppacity up and down 500 times ;p

@andrewturner54495 жыл бұрын
Ink jet Stencil,its the future and its available at Killer Inks.or do it the the old way ,print the picture off,place on top of carbon paper and just draw over the top off the picture and use the picture as your stencil.But ink jet stencil is a game changer.

thankyou for your video. Can I just ask if this would be available for an iPad 2? not the pro one, just the old ipad.. I was wondering since if since I would only use it for stenciling, I wouldn't use the app heavily, so i was thinking if it would be okay to buy the cheaper versions of ipad..

What do you think about the iPad? It’s much better if you use like a surface or anything like that or iPad pro is still good for the job? I ask you this because I’m indecisive if should I buy an iPad or save some money for an Lenovo Yoga a940 , I’m not a very good artist but I have the basics and I want a device that helps me build my design . Anyway good video :)

@lauraholmes93535 жыл бұрын
I bought the iPad and Apple Pencil a year ago instead of the surface and I mostly regret it. I saw mostly just because the pencil IS smooth and responsive (but not always) and I like having a tablet, but I got the wrong one. Using Apple has been so restrictive to changing anything for user preferences. I like to be as fast and as organized and productive as possible. Apple’s UI does NOT allow for that. I also need to buy a laptop separately now because the iPad is way too simple, it is definitely NOT a computer. I should’ve bought a Microsoft surface pro and their new pen (also an attachable keyboard would be way more ergonomic as well, trying to type comfortably and face the screen directly at the same time I s basically impossible, but I’m done testing out apple products). Yes, having a tablet as a full time professional tattoo artist is perfect, it’s portable and small enough to fit in a bookbag. I would say light too but my12.9” iPad is heavy as fuck. People praise the “solid metal body’ saying it "means quality” but I’m calling bullshit because my wrists would prefer plastic or lightweight aluminium. I can make a huge list of problem I have had to deal with this year. One big one I also have not been able to update the software in over 7 months because it wants me to pay a monthly fee for cloud service to backup to which is a scam. It should allow that update space within the parameters of the device as part of the regular device function. They just want more money for no effort. The main reason I was persuaded into buying it was that apple puts a lot of work to appear superior and sleek and colourful and fancy to lure you in. It’s a smart marketing tactic but then you are trapped into owning shit and they could care less, they got their money. Also, I felt I needed it because my coworkers use it. And based on watching dozens of comparison reviews before buying it, the apple pencil at the time seemed to be the most accurate with the least lag. But Microsoft can now compete. The worst part about the Apple Pencil is (because I have the original version) I have to plug the end of it into the charge port to charge a little because it is always dead and to reconnect to Bluetooth. This looks stupid sticking out 8 inches off the end of an already huge iPad, and seems like it could snap if hit, was definitely a design afterthought for Apple last minute. Plus I have to do this 4+ times a day for work to use it. Granted, the new iPad and pencil did fix this by copying Microsoft and having it magnetically attach to the side for storage and charging so it is always riding 100% charge versus 0-5% charge. The Microsoft pen doesn’t even need to charge as far as I know. They are like a wireless mouse and use a AAA battery that will last a year, and I don’t see why you can’t be rechargeable batteries as well. Other annoying things about the iPad are slow transitions and poor layout within programs. It wastes a lot of time when doing a series of tasks rushing to get a design ready for a client and every new page or program or feature takes up to a second to slide open. It can’t be adjusted to operate faster. *** If you value the ability to organize the home screen and documents/photos to suit your daily use and optimize your time and be productive, then don’t go with apple! Windows and pc has always been better when it comes to usability and productivity. *** Some other things that are a bother are the amount of times it lags or programs crash (and I was under the impression from others that apple computing was superior but it still has glitches like any tech), and the strength to which you need to click the touchscreen to have it realize you touched it is sometimes more than expected. Granted I have a screen protector but there was no way I wasn’t going to have one when I knew I would be spending several hours every day scratching it with the pencil (which tip needs to be replaced when it dulls and becomes scratchy). For the amount to praise apple fans seem to give the company for it being build better, sturdier, and valuing visuals and imagery over windows/android, I am not pleased. That may have been true a decade ago when nothing else tried as hard to look fancy, maybe to over-compensate for where it fails to perform, and with the multitude of devices now surpassing apple in functionality as well as looks, it’s simply bullshit. I hope you read this and I hope it’s not too late for you to see both sides and make a informed decision. If I had known this when I was shopping around I wish I had spent my long earned 2 grand elsewhere. I now also have to dish out another boat of cash to still by a laptop for the many things this device does not do. A surface could’ve been both my laptop and a portable drawing tablet. I also need a new phone too as my 4 year old one is not doing well... and no it is not an iPhone i can’t afford a new phone every year. Now to try to mention the pros vs all the cons, I will say it has decent sound quality and good screen resolution, albeit a dumb squarely shaped screen ratio. It has also been nice to have something I can bring everywhere with me and get work done whenever. That being said ANY tablet can do this and for the amount of annoying things apple throws at you I made a big mistake buying it. Thanks for reading, and I apologize to anyone who may love their Apple devices, I don’t mean to offend. It may fit nicely into certain lifestyles and functions. I am just being completely honest in how as a tech enthusiast and professional using it in my specific career, it is far too simple to accommodate my needs and hope my review could shine a light on the negative side of the iPad Pro. Side bar: the Procreate program has been amazing for my job and has a great amount of features without being too complicated like photoshop. If Microsoft offers a version similar I will gladly buy it again.
