Thanks for your advice. I'm a father of a 3 years old daughter. My wife and I started teaching her English when she was 2. At first, we taught her individual words with images like Apple, Banana, etc, and some physical activities like sit down, stand up, jump, turn around...she was very excited to join these activities. We were watching some popular videos on KZbin like Baby Shark and danced together (we have viewed this video so many as she was crazy about it). We sang together. I repeated the subtitles on the video for her. Until now I talk to her every day, asks her some common questions like "would you like" "where do you want to go" "Is it sweet or sour", she makes us surprised so much, and we usually teach her English at least 15 minutes a day. She could understand much better than she could speak. Plus, teaching her helps me build my vocabulary so much because I'm an intermediate English learner. While I'm learning English, it is motivating her.

How is your daughter's English now? Does she sound like a native speaker?
@luongManh3612 жыл бұрын
@@elsayedelkady5290 Yeah! She almost speaks like a native because she has been watching lots of cartoons in English. I was surprised that she could understand the language they speak and learn from those videos.

Exactly what are you talking. You know, in my country, at school teachers always focus about grammar when they teaches, children don't have a lot of time for speaking, for make a conversation with each other... that why they don't have interested for English at all.

Thank you Hadar for sharing your insight. It is really enlightining to try other approaches that the teachers at school don't do and build up the kids' confidence in using English by having our self-acceptance first so that we can radiate it to our significant ones. I also learn from you to do repetition and do it in fun way. I also learn English with my kid during this outbreak. And we try to learn from poem, short story and movie. We learn how to match the picture with the word, how to find the suitable ryhme, how to put into the correct of chronological order of the story, and how to match up the word and its definition. I also ask my kid to retell the story, poems and the reading and I don't bother about grammar and want to go deep with what she thinks about it and what she learns from it, what she likes best about our session and what challenges she experiences during the session and how she can apply in real life. She does repetition how to say it as we took the audio from native speaker of English. We also learn from doing games like clapping hands for words' syllable and playing cards; English and its meaning and gonna do deep processing on the learned vocab on how they are used in context and their word family. My daughter is 12 y. o and English is a foreign language at our country. She has enjoyed it so far. I'm gonna try to incorporate in regular daily basis and keep doing it in fun way as you already suggested. Thank you, Hadar! Keep sharing😘

*_1_* English is the most influential and important language worldwide today. The *Standard American English (SAE)* accent, also known as Broadcaster English, is the one used by TV news program anchorpersons and most understood by Americans and people around the world. *_2_* You have the right approach to teaching English to your daughters. *_3_* English is a compulsory subject in Israeli schools. It should be taught at home and in preschools worldwide. *_4_* One of the better ways to learn a language is by watching children’s programs on TV and KZbin. 💕 ☮ 🌎 🌌

Nice sharing Hadar! You told exactly what the problem is in the educational system, at least in Israel, the problem is that there is too much focus on avoiding mistakes, and I clearly know that it doesn't work like that.

I would say children should also be taught to handle emotions , stress, attitude,peer pressure and behavioral enhancing classes would be a great idea. 😃 What about half an hour of such class.It would be immense benefit ❤️ Just a thought of mine.

😱 omg so pleasant to hear and lovely listening to all this time and i wish you were my teacher when i was 7, most kids are traumatic bec of the shame that teacher/parents did and children will always remember things somehow, they can easily absorb. i could still remember that my parents and my teachers handles me so strict, knowing that it's for my damn good sake. apparently me as a parent, i handle my only child in a supportive manner but not to the point of raising him to be a spoiled brat, he was now grown up also ahead of me exploring independently. and as i see my growing adorable nieces and nephews they had these energy level of the millennials, too attached to gadget, so as their aunt i had to protect and see what are those information they are up to as a young netizen. parents must also be aware of childrens activity that is prone to tech world. 😍

Hi Hadar! Thanks for the video! I've been speaking English (+Russian) to my children since the day they were born (+reading, watching cartoons with them, I taught them to read in English myself using "Teach your child to read in 100 easy lessons"- you can see all 100 lessons on Little Angel Reader and see Max's progress in reading.) I've started posting English with Little Angel Reader video lessons for beginners on my channel. Your girls will love them. Give it a try. They will love to watch Max play different games and play with him while watching. Both of my kids (Max is 7 and Angie is 18) are fluent in English. Max will go to school (first grade) only this fall. Right now (while I am typing my comment), he is reading a story from the 2nd grade American reader to his sister. He loves to read in English. We started reading "Karlson on the roof" in Russian (his dad reads it to him in Russian), and Max started reading this book on his own (even though it has many difficult words) in English. He got this book in English for his 7th birthday - you can see it in our videobook called "Happy Birthday, Max!" where we play treasure hunt with him and he finds the first clue in that book (Karlson on the roof). I told you in my other comments that I write books for children in English and publish them on Amazon. You can find all of them read aloud on my channel as well. They are great for reading practice, for learning English, and for listening practice. Well, I better stop here. I hope you will watch our video lessons with your girls - you wil see the results, I promise! :) Anna from Little Angel Reader
