As a college student trying to improve my clarinet playing, I was really struggling with figuring out the proper breath support. Thank you so much, you can't even imagine how agonizing this was for me.

This helped me incredibly. Ever since I started playing tenor saxophone while playing the clarinet always struggled with breath support. You saved my Freshman year

Amazing!! the fingering you shared is incredible! thank you so much. I've been having problems with biting and it's hard to catch myself when I do, but with this new embouchure/breathsupport test, its helping me get rid of that bad habit. thank you!

I wonder why my clarinet sound airiness and fuzziness even I try harder to blow? I know that’s my fault but what’s problem makes it like that? Slow air? Wrong position?
@zachfryar18204 жыл бұрын
It might actually be your reed
@zachfryar18204 жыл бұрын
What you can do is rub the reed on a piece of paper, sealing the air holes within the reed, therefore making a better sound

Yeti Skillz there’s a small broken hole at the tip of my reed. Is it the reason?
@zachfryar18204 жыл бұрын
Erwin Lee hmmm...it might be. Just switch reeds and make sure you wet the new reed pretty good before playing and let me know how it goes👍

have you ever had a student with Mild Asthma? i like playing but lose my air between each line? what do you recommend? is it common to have asthmatic students who enjoy playing

I wish I could play better but I just keep squeaking in the altissimo range and it’s really frustrating because I am taking college lessons and I still can’t get rid of the squeakiness I just don’t know what to do

I can't get enough air in my lungs to play two measures at metronome rate 85. So, it's not the rate at which I blow air. What is it?
