How to teach the Visualizing Reading Strategy for Kids | Comprehension Strategies for Students (K-2)

One of the important comprehension strategies to teach to students is visualizing. The visualizing reading strategy is a great one to get students thinking about what they are reading and how they are connecting to the story. I plan on using strategies one and two, love them! I already use the third strategy every time I have a sub 😊 Sub does a read out loud of a picture book and have students draw out on a piece of construction paper. I emphasize a lot the strategy of visualizing during math word problems. However, I use the word “Netflix movie” 🙈 and after watching your vocabulary video I am going to give them a 1 minute lesson on the meaning and variations of the word and start using “visualize” with kiddos ☺️ Thank you Susan 😀
