To get the dog to listen to who's calling him, you saw that the dog went to the guy on Garretts left when Garrett called him then the dog corrected himself and went to Garret. So if your out in the park or somewhere that has lots of people you don't want your dog to hear you call them but have them run to someone else, you can do it with only one other person but after a minute the dog will just start going back and forth by himself and not learn anything, while with 3 people he has to pay attention to who's calling him

Put an object of interest out in the field like a favorite toy etc. let them become engaged and then try to call them off.

He may know the command, but this is engraving it into his brain. My pup (who's still in training) knows how to come, but he doesn't want to if he's distracted or if he gets off leash. This is a brilliant way to engrave it into their brain to have him come no matter the distractions.

That's actually a great question. I think no, but if you have 2 dogs leaving one out will literally give them cancer. I think a 4th person to sit with the off dog, then switching them out. It might even help the second one learn faster to observe. Maaaaybe you could try both at once, but it might not be great with younger kids unless you can trust them not to give treats to a dog whose name was not called, and even if both dogs are playing you only call one at a time so it doesn't get chaotic and confusing.

It's just a reward marker, it tells the dog they're about to get food/reward.

Because with not particularly well trained pups this gives them more than on or off options they have to consciously decide the understand not just go forward or backwards. And that is especially difficult of the pup isn’t trained well. Hence the triangle of death
