Mine recognizes his name I say "Fluffy!" And comes out of no where zooming to me! I didn't know that it involved conditiining I always say his name when I want him to come to me or to stay away from something dangerous. I say fluffy No! I don't shout I say it with a "Firm tone" And he stops and hops a way.

That video thumbnail is the most adorable thing ever!! :D I feel bad, I think I conditioned my bunny more by telling him off when he's biting something naughty like cables or walls! He responds to his name, his nickname/cute names and also "into the cage" :D But he generally recognizes his name from using it weeks on end with the same intonation and being clear that all my attention is directed towards him! Even nowadays when I say something like "my bunneh", which isn't his name, the first time, he stops and listens and when I repeat the same phrase a second time, he's on his way because he knows I'm def talking to him, combined with facing him directly! He's responding well with just bodty language- facing him and talking in the bunny baby voice we have :)

My bunny comes to me on command "when hungry", as the sound of a "bag" plastic or other, has him off in a mad-dash. Took him a full month to jump into my bed. He loves to cuddle and be stroked, knows to lay in "resting position" right away but it takes a lot of time, patience and work. I often lay on ground "leveling with him" - a sign of respect and attention.

What are good treats to use? My boy loves carrots the most but i've heard you aren't supposed to give them carrots a lot. I've also heard that a lot of the treats pet shops sell are really unhealthy. What should one look out for to avoid the bad kinds, sugar content? For now I am using his regular pellets to train him with.

I would like my rabbit to come along with me when I go to work (my clinic is in a bunny proofed house) but he seems to hate car rides and his carrier. Same for his harness; he has a blast outside digging holes, eating and exploring, but he runs away when he sees the carrier or the harness. My bunnies used to know their names whe I had them separate before they were bonded. Now they are bonded, and when I call one, the other comes with them lol. I call both when it's feeding time, so when I call one, like if they are closer, doesnt matter- they will both come. I have 4 bunnies but two of the four are still unbonded- i bet once they are bonded, they will ALL come when one is called lol!

I used to have a bunny like yours when I was 10 years old. A white albino (which looks like your bunny) I loved her so much and she was a wonderful bunny! But unfortunately, one winter a Fox came and somehow was able to get the hutch door open and killed my bunny snowy ;_; Elle is a very smart bunny and you are lucky to have her... Beautiful. She got very confused. What's that biz with the clicking?!? Learning them to know their name. The way I got most rabbits to be aware of their name is by association, usually when petting or other moments of real contact. They may often not respond by coming or looking up at you depending on their mood and character, but they definitely respond to their name and their name only when I call out their names in the little groups.

@@mrlokedejavu9613 our rabbits are toilet trained, we have a huge chicken pen because we have dogs so we have to have them outside. They have enough room to do zoomies etc, they have a fairly large litter tray with hay in it and above them, we taught them when we first got them in September. It’s rlly easy just put there tray where they usually go and they will learn to only do it in their tray.

Thank you so much for all your tips and tricks! My two boys fight when I give them treats together. Makes it hard to train them. They have even started fighting after I pet them together. The Netherland dwarf gets very territorial. Their previous owner warned me to separate them for treat time. But I would like to train them.
