It's good how your mailman delivered your parcels, without any addresses on them. Postal Telepathy is much underrated...

Brian, a dentist pick is really good for getting O rings and carb gaskets out.

Love your videos! Currently stripping a 1971 CL350 and these videos help a ton. What brand or where did you get your ultrasonic cleaner and how many litres is it ?
@KeepOnWrenching Жыл бұрын
Amazon. Get the bigger version. I wish I did!

Brian my 350 f curbs are a total mess. I got them apart and cleaning them with combustion chamber cleaner. The ultrasonic cleaner looks like a good idea. Can i put the inner carb parts like screws, jets, n valves righ in the cleaner as well. My floats are the plastic type so maybe not them? Thanks for the vids, great help. Oh Brian what cleaner do you recommend buying for the cleaner?

Everything can go in the ultrasonic. No worries! I’ve tried all kinds of things. I’ve had good results with dish soap. But you can try various things. Carbs can be very tedious

Now that you have an ultrasonic cleaner you can clean up the rusted parts quicker. Just use Evapo-Rust instead of Simple Green in the cleaner. Rusted fasteners are cleaned literally in minutes.

Lol. Funny you should say that. I just got a 5 gallon bucket of Evaporust delivered to my house. I’ll give it whirl in the ultrasonic. Thanks!

May I ask why you used Simple Green D, and not the regular SG?
@KeepOnWrenching2 жыл бұрын
Apparently the D is better for aluminum and won’t stain it.

What brand/model is your ultrasonic cleaner, please? Price, new or used?
@KeepOnWrenching2 жыл бұрын
Central machinery. It was like 80 bucks. A bit too small. I’d upgrade.
