I got my budgie Chico when I was in elementary school and still had him when I graduated from university. He lived with us for 21 years! Outlived several females and survived a couple of severe illnesses, couldn't fly anymore because of a damaged shoulder joint and was overall pretty annoying and loud, not too bright either, but a true Methusalem. 😄 He wouldn't even die on his own, we had to intervene when he started falling off his perch (while still screeching at 5a.m. ..). Good old Chico. I remember how he loved sitting in the apple tree and calling for wild birds in the sky. Of course I never left his side

bought baby budgie and have had him over a year, he now has only 2 black strips left, he has the best food and only bottled water and a lovely large 3 tier cage, and branches inside and out, Barney is very chatty , I tell him everything I do also when I leave the room, lately he will call me and I reassure him where I am, the only thing that does upset me is if I go to the cage when he is sitting outside on his perch he will fly away, he will not let me near him and yet he chats away when I talk to him is he ever going to let me near him or come to me, I love him very much but this upsets me, my late cockatiel went every where with me and I had Charlie for 17yrs and 2 weeks, please let me know what to do Thank you 🤔

There is no saving, your little cookie was gonna die. 😢 unless he didn’t die from age. if your budgie didn’t die from age it means he was unhealthy or maybe he ate something bad. When you see your budgie is sick, then give it Vitamin-C drink to let your budgie drink ❤
