Just recently got into creed. Did my extensive research. I have looked for discounts or promo price & the links that I have found on different sites are very questionable. I have found bottles that are about 40 % off. That's very questionable and tempting especially when you are buying a Creed Frag which already comes with a high dollar price. Bottom line: Creed is expensive. I've accepted that. If I buy a Creed, I will only purchase it from a Auth seller or from their website. That's all. I would rather pay full price and know the fact that my CREED is original without questioning myself and have sleepless night.

Fragrancenet without a doubt does not sell fakes. They're just old / overstock. Sometimes you get a bad one...I dunno, IMHO Creed fragrances just don't seem to stand the test of time unless you keep them cool / dark. I know people say you should do that with ALL frags, but whatever...I just think Creeds really noticeable change their scents based on the environment you keep them in, and it doesn't take that much time to change them either.

I just bought a bottle of Royal Oud. The batch number is printed along the middle of the back of the bottle, not the bottom like on other Creed's. Even stranger, it has the names of some of the ingredients printed on the bottle, right under the batch number. I've never seen or heard of this happening before. Fake? Or is it normal for Royal Oud to have its batch number and names of ingredients printed in the middle of the bottle?

Its probably legit. I would need to see pictures of the bottle and the top of the bottle with the sprayer top removed. Mostly this is put on bottles intended for sale in certain countries where the information is required by law to be on the bottle. I have yet to see a fake royal oud and creeds are nearly impossible to refill without destroying the sprayer.

tim moran Yeah, everything else looks real and the usual high quality you get from Creed. My only other issue with it is that it's an old bottle from 2011. I was surprised that I received such an old bottle. It has some serious longevity issus, too. It doesn't last anywhere near as long as the decant that I had. I could smell my decant on me for hours. This bottle becomes a skin scent after about 30 minutes. I can only smell it if I put my nose onto my skin. So disappointed.

Totally legit. There warehouse is based in new York. Been there and work closely with Creed. They used these fragrance Warehouses through the grey market to reduce the cost to sell more product. That's why they never discount it in the boutiques only through the grey market

Yes its real creed. Its grey market. Usually they are bottles that were intended for dubai or other arab countries.

grey market is any fragrance that was acquired through questionable means. In other words when you buy a bottle of creed aventus for $180 it more than likely did not come directly from creed as that is nearly or below cost of the item. Sometimes its stolen, sometimes the product is bought at below cost from companies going out of business. Another way a fragrance becomes grey market is by taking advantage of exchange rates. Due to cost of living and foreign exchange rates fragrances in arab countries actually dont cost as much as in the USA. So many times a company from an arab country can sell its fragrances at a profit to a USA wholesaler instead of selling it in their own country. Thats why you see so many creed bottles in the USA that are intended for the arab market with arab pamphlets inside. Many times like in the cae of viktor and rolf and thierry mugler the unique codes that are in the packaging are removed so that the fragrances origins wont be tracked back to a dealer. It could be any number of situations for the lower price. I have NEVER paid full retail. Never will either.

Seriously? there is no risk if your educated. If you educate yourself its relatively easy to save a shit ton and protect yourself from scams. IMHO its more risky getting splits than buying on ebay. At least ebay will get your money back. Try telling someone they shorted you 10ml.

Personally I have not purchased creed from amazon. I have heard of people having plenty of success though. In many cases when you buy a fragrance from amazon it is filled by another store that sells on amazon. With that in mind many times you may be able to find a better deal on it from that companies actual website. It really depends though on who is doing the selling. The good thing about amazon unlike some auction sites is that Amazon really has your back. If you get a fake they will back you up. And if you read the fine print and it says "filled by amazon" You really have nothing to worry about in the event of anything out of the ordinary showing up on your front porch.
