"Dylan, I visited many KZbin channels and watched a lot of videos to learn about my guitar. I even bought an AF-55 and thought that the neck setup would never hold, and I had started saving money to go to a luthier-until I saw your Les Paul setup video. Now, my AF-55 is in perfect condition. Thank you so much for your instructional videos. Greetings from Turkey!

Thanks for reminding me how to do this. The work is about what you taught us about annual maintenance. This and those maintenance videos are very helpful.

Great video. The only thing that surprised me was that you're going to put an oil finish on the neck. I love oiled necks and if its the right wood, I like raw. My 20 year old Padauk neck is raw, has aged to a nice dark reddish brown and is so slick it actually looks like there is a finish on it. Rock on and great video as always.

Is use a .004" feeler gauge at the bottom edge of the frets to see IF a Fret is not seated properly. The feeler gauge should not go under any of the frets.

Hey Dylan, id like to see you take a nut blank like a rectangle and show how you make it into a nut and shape it and cut its slots. Thx

What brand neck is that?

Not trying to be obnoxious, but you'll get better results and save time if you measure neck relief/straightness once your strung up and tuned to pitch. The 60 - 200lbs of tension that the strings put on the neck can cause a substantial amount of relief, or at least enough to affect how your guitar feels/plays. The gauge of strings, size of neck, type of wood, etc. are all factors that will contribute to how much your neck will be effected by the tension.

You do know that if you level your frets after doing that…. You will ruin them.

@@DylanTalksTone you're correct. I shouldve watched more of the video / paid closer attention before opening my mouth. Cheers!

Anyone try Nomad fret files? They seem cool. They have a huge set for 239.00. Stew mac are really $$$. Small files across the board are $$ though too. FML!!!!!!!!!! LOLOLOLOL

ordered some today. what i've seen is they are ok for light/home use but maybe not so good for pros that need files every day.
