Issue with this is 91.205 is not the only applicable regulation… Could be required by 91.207, 91.215, 91.225, etc.

The FAA , on their web site, says AC 91-67 was canceled in 2017 because its contents "misaligned with the latest ICAO standards”. Was that cancelation ever rescinded?

@@cheesepilotThis just came up at the flight school I’m contracted with! I’ve been teaching my students to reference 91-67A for guidance instead (it came out in 2023). It doesn’t have the same convenient flow chart, but does provide guidance on MEL and Non-MEL inop equipment scenarios.

@@aysn5785 91.205 is not the only regulation regarding equipment. 91.207, 91.211, 91.215, 91.225, 91.307, etc. it’s important not to forget this, as transponders aren’t required by 91.205, but they are required (in some curcumstances) by 91.215. “Or any other rule of this part” -91.213
