Great advice with turning suite inside out! I tried soap water without turning inside out - nothing. I replaced the zipper - no help. Next I have to try turning it inside out. But I'm not sure if doing that might damage the boot seals. In your video I did not see if the suit had permanently installed boots - probably not?

Hi Achim, Thanks for all your super vidéo so detailled ! One question regarding this one: How many pressure do you put in? I make this test this weekend after I changed my neck seal... but still have water entry even if the test looked good... Thanks for your advice ! Bref Paul

Hi, can you advise how you made the suit inflation pls. I’ve looked online and air lines use BSF thread and first stage is unf. Also what size ball fender you use. Thanks.

I find it is a bit difficult for me to seal the neck with a ball fender when the suit is turned inside out. My drysuit has a glued on latex neck seal and a sewn on neoprene warm neck. So I switched to making a hanger with large diameter hard plastic water pipe parts and the pipe head sealed, which looks like a letter T upside down.

There is some company s that uses aquasure and cotol to glue om new latex seals. Hvis works perfect by my knowledge. What do you use since aquasure is no good by your opinion?

I think so, too. There are plenty of guys here on youtube that seem to successfully use aquaseal for glueing seals and patches.

A very nice video, thank you very much. Can you maybe explain, its not even necessarry to show, how to change the glued on seals in a good home way? :) Merry christmas Achim. greetings, Chris

HI Chris, I personally dive Silicon for some years now as well as my team. if you want to change latex seals you cut the old ones off - peel as much of the remaining part of as you can (heatgun is a great tool to make this easier). then you can use a small wire brush (brass) and /or sandpaper to remove the remains of the glue. the new seal has to be roughend up as well (sandpaper). The arm of the suit should be streched over something hard (water bottle for example) You put the seal on in the way it should sit finally. then you fold it back, so the glueing surfaces are exposed and next to each other. Then you apply the glue to the seal and the glue area on the suit and let it dry (till you can put your finger on and it is not sticky any more. now you fold the seal down so the glueing areas connect. You apply FIRM pressure. it is not important how long you press but how firm. Done. (there are several glues on teh market but they differ very much from country to country with names and content - but they work all the same. He this helps. Merry X-Mas

Did that drysuit have boots or socks built-in? I've tried turning my suit inside out but it gets a little messy at the feet because I have boots.
@InnerSpace_Explorers7 жыл бұрын
Hi Darell, the suit has boots and yes, turning it inside out is a pain but it can be done. As those rubber boots do usually not have any issued (exept on the spot where they connect to the legs) it is usually not necessary to turn them out. We left them in the legs on the vid as well. If you have socks turning them is no problem.
