Hi I have a mercury 75hp outboard here in the UK. I was getting the click but engine not firing up. Now I'm not getting anything at all, brand new battery tried today. Any idea what it could be, Solenoid bad, starter or something else. I would really appreciate any feedback. Thanks Regards Jonny

Hello when they go bad can it make the gages go left like something is short and it will not make the starter work. Thank you for your consideration.

Can I test the solenoid with just an ohmmeter? If my solenoid is stuck in the on position, should I get conductivity across both power terminals?

Test my choke, negative wire got hot and does nothing. My guess the coil is grounded inside. Anyway great video
