HOW to test a PROPHETIC word to know if its from God

How to test a prophetic word when you receive it from someone is important especially because most of the prophecies given to us by others can be life-changing. How can we tell if a word is accurate? When I was preaching a lesbian girl walked up to me and she wanted to hear the word. Her friends were smoking and getting high, not really listening to me speak, but she was listening, and God told me to tell her that she needed to get away from people who aren't on the same path she wants to be on. I said it loud enough for the friends to hear as well. I told her God wants her to drop the drugs, and drop the toxicity.

In my case is a relationship restoration .....not a marriage so I m not sure if it does. I forgave this person but not sure if I am able to trust them like that again.I did feel peace when I got it

Isaiah unfortunately did not give proper scripture for these steps. If I give you a prophetic in-the-moment word that God says to make a quick right instead of a left, that could be 100% purely prophetic & it has nothing to do with scripture, nothing to do with anything God told u beforehand, it may not seem realistic or sensible at all in that moment, & might SEEM like I’m giving you advice from my own mind or flesh if you’re looking with your natural eyes and see that right SEEMS to lead to danger. Sorry, but this is not instruction from the Holy Spirit, this is Isaiah’s personal made-up list using HUMAN wisdom. Many people in the Bible got prophetic words that made them VERY uncomfortable! Just read the Bible. One easy example that comes to me right away is when Jesus Himself told Peter he’d deny Him. Peter was like NO WAY!!!!!! He felt HORRIBLE hearing that TRUTH. It is not true that you will always feel peace or a ✅ yes, in your spirit when you hear prophetic word, that is no where in the Bible. ‼️‼️‼️ People need to stop teaching what makes sense to them & just stick to Bible studies. Go directly to the HS for confirmation of His own words. God bless! 💎

You should always write down the word given to you. One time a man gave me a word about me painting and I disregarded it because I couldn’t paint well so I thought he missed it. However, one year later I took an art class and learnt that I really could paint well. I wish I had listened to the rest of what he said but I thought he missed it. I was the one who missed it!!!

Yes I had gotten the word saying to leave my husband. I just had a lady tell me pretty much how my walk with Christ has been. The condemnation and over concern with sin and losing the Holy Spirit. She proceeded to tell me how much the LORD loves me and doesn’t want me to fall for the enemies trap. It almost sounded too good to be true. Then sent me a word about trust and HE is doing a new thing. Letting go of my own desires and dreams, die to self etc. I felt unsure of if this really was from the LORD. As she is sending this to me, I get a notification for this video in particular.

I had a coworker tell me, about three or four years ago, that I was going to have a baby. She said I was going to be big as a house. Well I said no I’m not, the Lord didn’t tell you that. I’m not even married. Well needless to say I didn’t have a child. However, our other coworker was standing in front of me in line and she was way bigger than me. She’s the one who the word was meant for. So she did have the right word just the wrong person. So I asked for forgiveness for saying the Lord didn’t tell her that.
