How to test a series wound electric golf cart motor (won’t work on shunt wound)

I said it wrong the first time in the video but when I actually explained it later and touched the wires, I name them correctly. A1 and S1 are jumped together and A2 and S2 go to positive and negative of a 48v battery pack. Polarity does not matter. This test will work on a series wound motor but it will not work on a shunt wound motor. This project is a 2006 bbb bad boy buggy.

Hey I have a bad boy and my motor was unhooked when I got it..can you email me the diagram if it’s not to much trouble…maybe that will help it’s been converted from a bad boy to a straight ezgo 2wd!

I can send you the diagram if I had your email. But the wire should be labeled and so should the motor and you just match the wire to the motor

@@freshmaker5 ok I actually found the wire diagram right after I commented. I’ll check tomorrow and see id the wires are labeled! I did the test you show and my motors are good so….big thanks for that walk through!
