I tested Dragg vs actual drag strip with a pro tree and is .001 accurate. Also accurate with mpg

A better comparison might be to go to a drag strip and compare the Vbox and Dragy times to the drag slip. Also it would be interesting to see the variations between 2 Dragys or Vboxes on the same run.

Just waiting on the Walbro it was supposed to be here on Thursday, but freight is just soooo slow at the moment. Hopefully tomorrow Monday and we will get straight in to pushing the boost up with full e85 and port injection.

Use the draggy. Considering accessibility for consumers, more people are going to be able to compare your measurements to their own. I have a draggy, and keeping the equipment consistent across the board would be nice. I'm not saying because I have a draggy that everyone should too. I'm saying because they're priced so much more aggressively, that consumers are more likely to purchase them. And accuracy seems to be very good either way you go. I hope that makes sense

Draggy is 100% the way to go.

Dragy converts height difference, if you drive uphill it calculates differently, downhill also up to 0.36% uphill / downhill

That is something i should have mentioned in the video, that is a really good feature. You could potentially trick or get false times with the vBox if you tested on a slope.

@@ZeroTo60Tube If you test on a slope with the V-box, you can se the difference in elevation in the data. This just shows that the V-box is better for "professional" data recording, because it gives you the actual measurements and not some calculated value.

I have the VBox sport with external antenna but the accuracy in lower than of a smartphone. It also looses the signal sometimes and you need to stop to reset it. Then if it’s cloudy forget about it. The only good side it’s the update rate

I recently bought the new R Racebox.Pro , very very happy with it, and a fair price as well, accuracy ?? IDK, it seems to compare well against drag timing strips in reviews at least. Super simple to use.

Do you have to get these calibrated every year? Some of our electronics test equipment has to be tested and certified every year to make sure nothing has wandered!

Please,please,please take these two down a drag strip and compare the times. Having had a great discussion about rollout and how that makes 0 - 60 incorrect I asked how do you measure it accurately. Your tests show devices read differently and I would bet if you had more of each device they would read differently to each other. I think you need a magic beam at bumper hight the car should be pushed up to break it then rolled back until the beam is not broken. As soon as the car moves the beam will break and timing begins.

Тhe difference in the 1/8 mile times may be due to the fact that the dragy times are with 1ft rollout.
