I watched a lot of your stuff a couple years ago and loved it! I kind of took a bmw break for a while, but heard your channel mentioned in a video recently, and it made me want to see what you guys were up to. What a crazy story! It seems quite a bit overdone. You're not putting any others in danger... I'm glad it all worked out, I guess! Look forward to more videos!!!

Hey zero to 60 I’m planning on doing a 335i build and will probably go single turbo targeting 600-700hp and not sure on the transmission I would prefer not to do a transmission swap is the standard automatic good enough or should I look out for a manual/DCT what’s the better one for holding power ?

Great to see a new video Andrew. Your engine bay looks so uncluttered with the injectors and fuel cross pipes all gone. I would imagine there would be a small gain in power from having the HPFP removed as well. It is going to be exciting watching how the tuning with just port injection progresses.

Anything with enough fabrication is possible. The worst part with the subaru motors is the stater motor is right where the 8hp tq converter needs to be. That is why there are no subura adapters currently.

When e92s become legal in the US. I’m getting a right hand drive especially from Australia!!! As long as you’re building them, I know N54s will be dummy fast by then. I came here interested to know what other times people were getting from a 1kz. My 1993 1kz prado I just measured 0-100km/h at 32 seconds. Stock turbo, stock 10 psi boost. 33" mud tyres, roof racks on. Then I wound the fuel pump screw in until the idle went a bit wonky (about 3/4 of a turn). It felt a bit zippier on the go pedal. I did 0-100 again in, wait for it, 25 seconds! Blistering! In neither case did I stall the converter. Thanks for the comparison.

The thermostat is super easy, its just an output that you turn on and off at set temps. However what else where you interested in?

@ZeroTo60Tube sorry for the late reply. I'm currently working on a LS + 8HP swap into a 135i chassis, controlled by MaxxECU Pro. As I'm keeping all of the N54 accessories, including the waterpump and thermostat I'm rather interested in the control strategies that are used for those. So far I've found that the thermostat is somehow PWM controlled (?) but it hasn't been discussed to any further. Now that I'm writing this I realized that I could get my hands on a MaxxECU base map for the N54 and go from there.

@@Zhven I believe the thermostat is just a voltage on and off. Its setup using a PWM output. However its basically 0% duty closed, 100% duty open. Nothing in between.

Im not sure on the PCV and catch can setup yet. I left the head unplugged.
