The dot of light would be acceptable, at least based on my understanding and on what the video said. Just like how you’ll still be able to see the sun while wearing them, but it will be dim and confined to the solar disc as opposed to having bright glare/spikes/haze of bright light around it You can test the IR filter ability by trying to use ‘Face ID’ to unlock your phone while wearing them. You’ll notice with normal sunglasses, you can still unlock your phone. You shouldn’t be able to if the eclipse glasses lenses are sufficiently blocking the IR light from the Face ID scan (can’t 100% guarantee that as a fool proof test, and that was mainly to test for IR filtering and not UV, but I tried that with my plastic frame eclipse glasses and it won’t unlock my phone if I’m wearing them)

She didn't mention the brand of the glasses she bought. It's important to select the right brand and not something cheap and fake from China

lol right after this i saw an ad of a guy putting a spoon on his eye and banging another spoon on it to "improve vision" these advertisers do the same thing to improve hearing as well
