If interested in texlaxing, if you texlax every 3-4 months only do your roots. If you have virgin hair you can apply relaxer to the ends. If you do once a year and get a lot of new growth maybe you can go your ends but it depends on what look you want. If you want a curlier texture try to avoid putting relaxer on your ends (unless virgin hair or long times in between texlaxing and your hair grows extremely fast with lots of new growth greater than 3 inches.). Doing ends too often can cause overprocessing or straighter ends than you want. Especially if you want to do wash and goes.

I was about to texturize my natural hair but then I discovered hair botox (Boto Hair treatment) and fell in love! It works like a texturizer but its a natural protein treatment. It isn't permanent and lasts at least 4 months. It's more expensive than texturizers but so worth it. My hair feels the healthiest its ever been and there's NO more frizz and curls that stay defined and looser. Its also so much easier to wash and wear straight

This stuff is very strong. I used it on my cousins hair. It was on for a total of 7 minutes and her hair became bone straight. I didn't pull or comb through her hair. I did her sides and back last since that area is short. That is the only area that came out curly and it was on the sides and back for 1 min. Now her hair looks a hot as* mess. Top came out with straight roots with kinky end and soft curls on the side and back.

This can happen especially if you're already starting with a looser texture and/or have multiple textures throughout your head. Its not for everyone. I suggest stretching the hair with bantu knots and other stretched styles regularly. The hair will loosen on its own.

Thanks so much. The way your hair will come out will depend on what type of curl pattern you already have. I would suggest texturizing your hair when the relaxer is almost gone. If you don't you will see the line of demarcation of where your natural hair ends and relaxer starts.

I have 3c hair, what would my hair look like after Texlaxing
@tcg19737 жыл бұрын
Dont do it. Im 3c and tried this years ago with the same product and even though I rinsed it right out and didnt even comb it through, my hair was too straight like I had a full perm. For 3c, just stretch the hair with bantu knots or other stretched styles regularly and the hair will stretch and loosen on its own.

You have the hair type every natural attempts to achieve. You're fine.

I wont do it! Keep your natural hair!
@karoberts1008 жыл бұрын
how long did you leave the hair to process
@icyunvme09128 жыл бұрын
I did not leave it on to process. Once I applied the texture softener to my entire head, I rinsed it out. You don't want to leave it in too long because it will start to straighten your hair

How long it is necessary to wait before redoing a texturing when we have already made before ? I need help, I'm lost :/

Can somebody please help me! I got a relaxer in December 2015 after being natural for almost 5 years and I wish I had texlaxed instead but I found out after the fact what it was and I haven't done a retouch since so I'm just trying to figure out when is the best time to start texlaxing my hair cus it's been about 6 or seven months since I went relaxed
@beyoncehightower28528 жыл бұрын
you can't telax your already relaxed hair. it'd be like applying another relaxer. as for your new growth; you could telax, but you would still have two textures and eventually have to cut your relaxes ends.
@MilkjugMafia8 жыл бұрын
+beyoncé hightower yea that's what I was thinking like I'm not Finna put a relaxer on already relaxed hair of course not but I didn't wanna texlax a lil bit of it and then eventually cut the relaxed ends of it just seemed like too much To keep up with
@PARISJYNAE8 жыл бұрын
+beyoncé hightower so i thought when you texlax hair u do it to turn your straight hair into curly because u know in the video when she had thoses curls in her hair why did she blowdry them out they were so pretty so i have heat damage (i think ) my roots are natural but my ends are straight and wont get natural all my ends are just straight i had a brazilian blowout for about a year now ive been trying to go natural for about a month and a half but my ends are just staight so can i get a texlax and get those curls she had in the video
@beyoncehightower28528 жыл бұрын
+princess darkskin no telaxing is like a relaxer except you don't let it completely process and straighten your natural hair. most naturals telax to have more manageable hair. not sure why her hair was blow dried in the beginning, maybe just her intro lol 😂 but if you are trying to go natural after being relaxed, your ends won't curl up and you have to cut your ends. if you're already natural and you use heat, then you possibly could have heat damage and you still would have to cut the hair off.

+princess darkskin after you get rid of your straight ends, then you could relax your hair.

what exactly is texlaxing I've only ever relaxed my hair. Does this just make it curly?
@icyunvme09128 жыл бұрын
It's a lot milder than a relaxer. Texturizer loosens your curl pattern to make your hair more manageable while a relaxer straightens your hair.

When my mom put the relaxer on my hair for the first time, it went from 4a to pinstraight, what did we do wrong?!!!!!
@shawny90275 жыл бұрын
Tamaya David did you comb it through your hair? If so I’ve always seen they say “do not comb a texturizer through your hair it will make it straight.” Just “smooth” it into your hair as in “clasping” your hands together and smoothing it throughout your hair. A texturizer is like a perm but you just leave it on for a shorter period of time that’s why you get a “looser curl” and not “bone-straight” hair. When you want straight hair you would comb the perm through and leave it on for a longer period of time ,but if you just wanted to loosen your tight or loose curls/coils you’re suppose to just smooth the product to your detangled hair and leave it on for a shorter period of time. Depending on the density of your hair that time depends . Also When I say smooth I mean simply sliding it on your hair with your hands. I hope that helped stay blessed and stay up beautiful God bless💕

I actually don’t remember if my mom combed it through. At the time I was nine, I didn’t even want to do that, I’m growing it out now. But thanks for the feedback🥰

To be honest, I was having a difficult time maintaining my hair when it was 100% natural. I felt texlaxing my hair was easier to maintain.

If and when you flat iron your hair does it stay straight in the desired style, or do you have to tame it like straightening natural hair.?
@icyunvme09128 жыл бұрын
I have never straightened my hair while I was Texlaxed. I will be doing a video on this really soon. I would because my hair is still curly I would have to straighten it like I was natural.
