@6:55 when you put the thread in the second hole you will see an arrow imprinted on the metal. On the same part push it in aside with arrow direction and the two hooks will be pushed out for you to loop. Hope this helps.

Oh my word I have been going through the same thing lately. So what I would recommend for you to do is change the needle, set the tension on the left hand to R. Let’s try that and please give me the feedback.

🥺🥺OMG I am sure you are frustrated with this. May we try and clean the bottom part of the machine make sure there are no threads 🧵 or small pieces of fabric. Try and rethread completely.
