Just made one of these, and it’s the most satisfying sewing project I’ve done in a while. It’s comfortable, sewed up so easily, and I foresee years of enjoyment from using it. Thank you for the tutorial!

@@gabriellerussell8484 woow this is the most heartwarming comment. I have not done any tutorials and this comment is making me want to make a tutorial. Thank you so much and it's so fulfilling wearing something. You have made yourself. Since Christmas is coming up it's a good gift to gift ladies in your life. ❤️

Hello there....again. would 2.5 yards be longer then for a taller person... All very new to this. Or will it affect the width of the Kimono

@6:55 when you put the thread in the second hole you will see an arrow imprinted on the metal. On the same part push it in aside with arrow direction and the two hooks will be pushed out for you to loop. Hope this helps.

Thank you so much for this! I'm planning to take apart a bonnet I already have to use as a pattern, but it was really helpful to see a similar one being constructed. It’ll definitely guide me when I start assembling mine after cutting the fabric. I have a small suggestion for a future video (though I love the current design!): Instead of using elastic, you could try using a 4-inch strip of stretch satin. If you cut it perpendicular to the grain line (so it stretches along the length), fold it with the right sides together, and sew along the long edge with a serger or zigzag stitch for maximum stretch, you can then ease it onto the bonnet’s opening. This would bunch it up slightly, and you can leave longer ties at the ends to wrap and secure around the head. I find this style easier to put on without disturbing my hair, especially when I'm doing heatless curls or trying to keep my hair smooth, since it’s prone to kinking. I can’t seem to find bonnets long enough for my hair anymore, so it looks like I’m resorting to making my own now-wish me luck! 😂

After about 48 years of having super short hair, last year I decided to let my top grow out (sides and back shaved). Turns out I have curly hair!!! Am 54 years old and learning how to take care of curly hair now. Been thinking about making one of these and your tutorial is great. I'm also super jealous of that material. I'm a sucker for green. Thank you!

I want to get some bonnets to take better care of my hair, and there's no stores that sell them where I live, so I was looking for a tutorial to make one without an elastic. Elastics are a granted headache for me. Thanks for this clear tutorial! Def saving it in my favorites.

I still don’t understand how you were able to fit both circles together since one has a smaller circumference than the other. What did I miss?
