Thank you. I successfully threaded my machine, and it worked. You are a wonderful instructor. I appreciate you.

I followed what you said to do, but my threads aren't weaving how they're supposed to be. Your video is a lifesaver. Thank you for being so detailed about how to thread the serger.

Awesome video. Thank you so much for taking the time to make it. The manual was so confusing I couldn’t follow along with it so I was very happy to see this video on KZbin! Thanks again!!

Much appreciation for this simple, well-filmed and pleasant tutorial! I scored this serger on a boulevard in a pile of free stuff after someone’s garage sale and it did not have a manual. Now I have it threaded properly and a brand new-to-me serger that works! Thank you!

Thank you! You just saved my serger from the trash can!!! I had failed to properly thread the green and yellow tension...now it works great. Thank you.

Wow, what an excellent video. Straight to the point, no music, no digression from topic, clear visuals, right on the money. Many thanks! You are a great teacher and demo expert. Please - do you have a copy of the White 534 Superlock Serger SERVICE manual? I have the User manual but not service manual. I cannot afford to buy it. Anyone have that or know where to find it free? Subscribed!

If there’s awards for instructional videos you should get gold! Amazing thank you. I have a 3 thread with the teeny hole for the looper thread.

I’m so happy I found this video! It’s so clearly explained and I love your “flossing a tooth” analogy which will help me remember how to put the thread through that loop. I have had the White Superlock 534 since 1987, but haven’t used it for many years and needed a refresher on how to thread the machine. Your video is more engaging than reading through the manual :) If you have time I would love to see the video on adjusting the tension that you were thinking about making.

Amazing! New sub. Thank you! I own this same serger (534) but had NO IDEA there was an "S"? I've only seen a 534D (with diff feed). I always wondered why my lower looper did NOT have that hole that's in the manual (bought manual off eBay). Brilliant - now I know I've been threading it correctly all this time. :)

I have this machine and you probably just need to increase the stitch which is easy to do. Open the door on the left side of the machine. There is a wheel about 1.25” in size, and if you turn it you can make the needles go up and down. Now that you’ve identified the stitch length knob, Grab the larger wheel on the outside right of the machine, and keep it and the needles stationary, while you turn the inner knob towards you. It will be very stiff to turn, but this will decrease the stitches per inch. You should be able to see numbers thru a small opening on the knob., ranging from 1-5, which indicates the stitch length. I usually keep mine around the 3-4 range. I hope this helps you

Thank you for showing me how to thread the serger. I have had one for over t]twenty years but have not used it for a long time. I had to put new cuffs on my daughters favourite top and when I tried to rethread with the right thread I SUDDENLY FORGOT how to do it. I have a Janome MyLock 4 thread serger and I have made lots of clothing on it for the whole family. I know there are lots of other things you can do with it and was hoping you might have a series of videos showing what and how we can use them all. than you again.

Thank you so much! This video was super helpful and well done. I recently purchased this machine and after taking it apart to oil everything I finally got it to work. Unfortunately, there is a piece and a screw left over after I put it back together and I cannot figure out where it belongs. I was wondering if you would be willing to unscrew the front panel and send me a pick so I can see where this piece belongs?

I have a Baby Lock 5180, and I've reset all the timing myself but the feed dogs do not seem to be moving material? Thank you for this video, I've had quite the journey learning on all the channels for these older models. I am happy to say I am able to make a chain! Yeah!! Is there a simple fix for the feed dog?? I'm so eager to use this little nugget!

Thank you! Can you tell me what kind of needles you use in your White 354? My manual says "Use HA ×1SP, HA x1(130/705H)" and I can't tell if that means I should "SP" (stretch) needles for ALL fabrics with the serger? That seems odd, because not all the fabrics I want to serge are knit. Help?

Does the thread over bunch up on the top? Hi everyone. My mom bought this machine in about 1987, and I love it, and it sounds like childhood to me. I want to keep using it, but I fear it’s beyond repair. The 4 threads are in the machine correctly, and they make stitches, but there are SO MANY stitches per inch. It’s almost like the feeds dogs aren’t working or the tension is way off, but I’m worried there is a larger problem with this machine. If anybody has similar problems with their machine, hit reply if you have a solution!
