I might start a series of "thrifting and styling" here on the channel - maybe taking you all along on a thrift trip with me *when it is safe* and/or online thrifting, and then styling those items I find in the video, yay? Yay I'm glad! And I'm definitely gonna do it, I was looking through my blog photos for some thumbnail photos (all the dresses/shirts in the thumbnail were thrifted) and realized how few things I've gotten to thrift and wear last year. Made me sad!

Love this!! I am actually using some of these tips right now. I use to dress rockabilly in my 20s but with work I just dress very simple the last several years. Have always loved vintage everything since I was a teen and decided recently to change my wardrobe to things I love rather than just basic.

This was a wonderful video. I have found some of the best things at thrift stores over the years. I agree about Goodwill's prices. Unfortunately that is basically the only thrift store we have here in small town rural Kansas. Pretty much all you see at the shops anyway is T-shirts and jeans, or kids clothes. But every once in a while I get lucky.

I have been into historical clothing for a while, but am just starting to try going vintage. It's a little intimidating, but I started with makeup and it's been going great! I've found that another good place to look for vintage stuff is on places like Facebook marketplace, where most people don't know the value of their items. I got a lot of authentic 40's/50's earrings and necklaces for pretty cheap there and it's my next thing to incorporate for a more vintage style. Really enjoyed the video!

yeee!!!! i agree. sometimes goodwill has great deals, but it really depends on your area. in houston, where i lived, it looked like an actual thrift store with great prices. when i moved to killeen, 3 hours away, the goodwill looked like a small retail store. they had mutliples of items in packaging, not like a real thrift shop and it was all overpriced for what they should be selling them for! now i made it to west virginia and it looks like a regular thrift shop again! 😂 i was able to find a huge chunk of my pfaltzgraff collection there, a couple dollars per piece so it was nice.

He loves vintage but he works a physical and dirty job, so he doesn't get to dress up daily; my kids wear a mix of modern and vintage. Everyday play clothes are modern, but weekend/fancy clothes they have vintage.

Highly recommend checking out THe Glambassador, she's a wonderful plus size woman with lots of style advice! I'm a smaller plus size (2x on bottom, but XL on top) so while I will say perseverance and time has still led to finding some lovely items, I know I'm privileged to still be able to fit into the top range of straight sizes.
