If you continue a series like this more often. You seriously have potential to make it huge and help spread a great message to a lot of people :)

Well how do you explain spiritual experiences? People having experiences with spiritual forces or a higher intelligence - the universe, do you believe it's God? Genuinely want to know what you think? What about intuition that's connected to this greater source? What about the inner feeling to something deeper & divine, how do we know it is of God?

Excellent questions. I'm always continuing to learn and explore, but this is my current view. (I might also try to squeeze part of a larger response into one of my next videos, hopefully in the next couple of weeks.) I believe that spiritual beings exist who are both submitted to and opposed to God (i.e., as I mean it, the "one true God" of the Bible). I believe these beings can interact with us, and that lots of people who seek to "commune" with ancestors, spirits, or the universe often make themselves targets of these deceptive spirits whose ultimate goal is to keep them from a saving knowledge of God/Jesus. I ALSO believe that if someone asks God to reveal Himself to them, He will, but when and how He does isn't uniform, but ultimately it always ends in Christ. So I'd say, your spiritual experiences (including if you're already a believer) have to be vetted according to Scripture. As to inner feelings, intuition, and stuff like that, I think God made us all to be able to sense things of the spirit. Some are more open to the things of the spirit than others, some more sensitive than others. I think the spiritual can make itself apparent to the bodily senses and to the mind, so someone whose spirit is "dead" (i.e. not reborn in Christ) can still note the things of the spirit, but only when we're reborn in THE Holy Spirit by faith in Jesus can we live a life of constant communion with God. THAT being said, I believe God can and does still speak to people who don't yet know Him. That's how people get saved! BUT--and many Christians, myself included, can fall or have fallen into this trap--it can be easy to expect God's interactions with us to reveal themselves through a "spiritual experience" that is sensational and highly experiential and subjective, rather than the way He often does, which is through quiet confirmations, a "still small voice", familiar, comforting language, pointing us to certain passages of Scripture, speaking through a believer, or even through a song or line from a book or movie, etc. God still does give us spiritual experiences from time to time, but the main way He talks with us is as a Father and friend. That's why the main name Jesus gives us to call the "one true God" is Father, and Paul writes that the Spirit in us is the "spirit of adoption as sons [and daughters] by which we cry 'Abba! Father!'" That's long for a text reply and short for a sufficient in-person reply, so my double apologies! I'll try to cover what I can on this topic as it happens to fit into whatever videos I happen to do moving forward. I appreciate your thoughtful and thought-provoking comment! Thank you!

I’m not judging, but if the Holy Spirit is within you, why do you smoke?

@@caleb_allison I totally get it, very respectable answer. Smoking cigars is kinda like you average cup of coffee. It’s not like your getting high or anything. Thank you for your response. I subbed🙏🏽God bless you

(Whoops! I replied on my personal account. I'm going to delete that and just paste my reply here. Still getting used to having a channel-specific account.) I appreciate that question! I suspect I’ll do a video for a fuller exploration down the road, but in my current view, I don’t believe I’m dishonoring the Lord by smoking. It seems to me on par with eating candy, drinking alcohol in moderation, breathing campfire smoke or candles that are technically full of chemicals, or even not getting the sleep your body needs because you stayed up late doing something fun. I think the Lord made our bodies resilient and that there are various benefits from all those things I listed, including smoking, but like those other things, I wouldn’t do them primarily for the “benefits” so much as just because I enjoyed it and didn’t feel the Spirit telling me not to (also vetting it Scripturally, making sure there’s not an obvious standard like “Don’t get drunk”). With pipes and cigars, you don’t inhale, and they don’t have all the insane chemicals of cigarettes, and while nicotine is nice, it hasn’t been habit forming for me. So, for now, I take great delight in it, but if the Lord makes it clear to me I need to stop down the road, or if He reveals to me that I’m causing people to stumble (a word and concept that needs defining, maybe in a future video) by smoking in my videos, I’d take that really seriously. Anyway, there’s my “short” response. I can’t easily say most things in brief. Thank you for the question!

@@i-could-go-on The way I see it. The bible never says anything about smoking being bad or even alcohol its self being bad. But what it does say is addiction is bad. Even if your doing it controllably, It can still lead to addiction. Every nicotine addict starts with one sip, and every alcoholic starts with one drink. I understand that you can do it controllably, but at the same time even a controllable amount can spread to something much worse. God Bless.
