@SkatingwithAaron3 жыл бұрын
Very interesting! Without seeing it or knowing any other details I’m going to guess the shoes are maybe creating a pressure point around your toes/ forefoot? If so they’re either not broken in enough, or just might not be the right shoes to skate with. Am I in the ballpark or off?

Thanks for the tutorial! I’m completely new & having trouble with these, I think because the trucks are too tight, but I don’t have a skateboard tool. Can I just use another tool like a wrench or something? And how do I know how much to loosen it?
@SkatingwithAaron Жыл бұрын
Welcome to the channel. Glad you found this helpful! If you don’t have a tool then you can absolutely use a wrench. Just need to find the right size for your kingpin. Turn to the left to loosen and to the right to tighten. Make small adjustments and be sure to keep it even on both trucks. It’s trial and error until you find what works best for you.
@DuolingoOwl Жыл бұрын
@@SkatingwithAaron tysm!! I loosened them & it definitely seems a lot easier to move left and right. I also loosened the wheels a bit bc they were tight. There’s sort of a creaking noise though.. does that mean it’s too loose?

@@DuolingoOwl You’re welcome! As for the creaking noise hard to tell. Might be your bushings on your trucks if they’re super hard or old. I imagine you have a new deck, but if not some decks also can start to creak as they age. Shouldn’t be the wheels or bearings either way thought.

i have a question, when i try to do it, my skate stop moving forward, i see people doing it without pushing before and the skate is still moving forward at the same time, idk what i'm doing wrong :o
@SkatingwithAaron3 жыл бұрын
Great question! You should be able to start moving forward from a standstill. First off make sure the nuts on your wheels aren’t too tight and that they all spin freely. Next step would be to make sure that you’re pushing your front foot into the ground and away when you go to make the next tic tac. Same thing as if you were to be standing still and then try to sprint. That pushing motion provides the force to get your momentum moving forward. It also helps to remember that you’re not putting all of your body weight over the front. You’re keeping it more in your back foot and extended your front foot away from you as you make the turns. Hope this helps! Keep me posted either way and we’ll figure it out!

@SkatingwithAaron5 ай бұрын
@@adamkr5506 Could be a couple of reasons but my initial guess if that you’re standing straight up and not leaning your chest over your front foot. My second suggestion is when you move the board to one side, concentrate on pushing your front foot into the inner wheel and then out away from your body as you bring your foot back in. This will help you to creat friction and thrust off the ground propelling you forward. I go more into depth in the part 2 of this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/o5W2kphmn8asm7Msi=9UlKi4H1OQcdIUcE

Haha, first time I’ve gotten that. You should check out @christian_flores. Amazing editing/ videos and he even did a skit where we grew out his hair and all to look like Bob Ross. Pretty hilarious!

@@SkatingwithAaron sure man I have just been loosing motivation to skate recently that’s the only problem I have rn
@SkatingwithAaron3 жыл бұрын
@@King-zc5gp Motivation is why a lot of people start and stop skating quickly. Skating is hard and doesn’t come as easily as most people expect. Plus skating with or without friends can both demotivate you. All depends again on what you want to get out of skating and how badly you want it. Only you can decide that!
