I’m a USA born citizen with Scottish, Hungarian, and Persian roots. I’m thinking of trying to wrap a plaid scarf around my head as a turban. My goal is to get in touch with my own roots, but also show Americans it’s okay for people to wear Middle Eastern styles and hopefully help some people get used to other cultures they are ignorant to. A lot of ignorance and misunderstanding about Middle Eastern cultures, how they differ and vary by country and region, and how Islam is not bad nor is it the only religion in the Middle East. I’m most interested in Persian culture, but am trying to learn more of modern Iranian culture. It’s been difficult with the Iranian government for some Americans to be open-minded and accepting of Iranian people. It sucks, but I’m proud of my heritage and to explain to people what little I do know thus far. Thank for the video

The sufi style isn't a style lol that's how the Arabs used to wear it. If they were educated then they would let the tail of the turban hang around the neck as well. If they were students they would let it hang in the back without touching it. And during times of war the tail covered the face as a means of basic protection
